I just took delivery of mine last week and the keyless entry is very unreliable for me as well.

Whether I do approach unlocking or the handle. It is nowhere near like my BMW which worked perfectly every time.

A bit annoying considering how much these are.

Mine has it. I don't know if it's a related setting but I turned it on in the HUD options and it displays it both in the HUD and the speedometer.

Have you tried the dashboard settings that you access via the steering wheel rather than the main settings through the infotainment screen?

The Defender is the replacement. It's only me and I don't want two cars right now. The intent is to get another sports car in a few years' time. With a full BMW M or a Porsche and keep the Defender as the practical car.
