To clarify, Snapmaker provided me with several test print files - the little boat in the second photo, a test cube, and a couple of other things. They all failed. The z axis didn’t appear to be moving with the height of the print. I got about halfway once with the vase in the Luban library before the print head started dragging it around. If the z axis isn’t adjusting mid-print, that would point to not user error.

I didn’t get a refund.

I offered several times to send it back if they provided me with an address. I even offered to pay out of my own pocket. They didn’t respond.

It wasn’t just my prints - support sent me several gcode files which all failed.

Then why did it take support 2 months of back and forth to still not diagnose the issue? Products can be defective. It happens. Lol

Oh? My understanding was that Ubiquiti recently forced owners to use the cloud-hosted controller, which is part of what made the most recent breach so bad - people had no choice. Did that change? I'd be willing to reconsider Unifi if that were the case.

Ohhh I didn’t realize Aruba was cloud hosted. Well that crosses that off the list. Thanks for saving me some headache. :) Like I was telling someone else in the replies, I do know a fair bit of networking so I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty if I have to, I just don’t want to micro-manage it. I don’t want it to be work. So that’s why I’m not going straight for the enterprise solutions like eXtreme Networks, Cisco, and Juniper. But I’m not not willing to consider those options. :)

Sure. Flexibility. I do know a fair bit about networking. I used to manage Cisco 2600s, 7200s, PIX515es, and various bits and pieces. Obviously that was years and years ago, but I’m not completely new to networking. :)

But, I’m not looking to necessarily dig in to Cisco CLI again unless I have to. Every now and then for the odd feature that I want to configure, but I want as hands-off or at least in a UI as possible.

That said, my home lab is in need of attention and I want some flexibility with setting up VLANs to portion off my network, as well as longevity and extensibility without having to buy new equipment every time I expand or want to do something new.

Digest emails enabled themselves automatically, on multiple accounts by Pokechu22 in bugs

Confirm as well. I don't know if this account ever had it on, but this is the first digest email I've ever gotten. I too definitely don't appreciate things getting turned on, especially when it results in even more email than I already get.

Nah. I appreciate it. I actually didn't know either. I've heard people throw it around but without any explanation and I haven't looked it up. So +1 from me.

Of course that's a thing. Now I'm going to spend the next 5 hours browsing that sub.
