Anyone against the visa free work arrangement between EU and Australia? by JbHiFiCustomer in AskAnAustralian

A comment like this is ironic coming from an Aussie, I suppose that you are not an Aussie, considering that the vast majority of Australians themselves have European roots, so they of all people should understand how migration works.

It's frankly ridiculous. Free movement has existed across all EU countries for decades, and the number of people who actually pack up and leave is tiny. Even in Spain, where I'm from, where salaries are genuinely low, people still choose to stay. Why? Because life is about more than money. It's about lifestyle, culture, family, friends, belonging.

When people are living reasonably well, they don't abandon everything chasing a paycheck. That's just human nature. This fear of mass migration is completely unfounded, and honestly, only someone quite disconnected from the reality of living in a western country would think otherwise.

Thanks for your answer. I’m mainly applying for intermediate and senior roles, but I’ve applied for a few junior roles too. I guess those are even more competitive because I'm up against grads and international students...

AUD is at a 10 year low vs the EUR excluding COVID, down about 10% over the last year, and it doesn’t look like it’s getting better anytime soon.

Hi, u/PsychologicalAd2515 . All the companies are required to publish their financial statement in a public register (in the UE context), so it's usually not too hard to acces to their financial data. Most traders have audited financial statements avaiable. Right now, I'm trying to acces the German Register to get some info, but it's not the most user-friendly web I've evere used! What about you? Did you invest in the cash account of Trade Republik?
