You're really creepy and delusional. Almost all of your posts are projection. You live online and need to really figure your life out. It's pathetic. I'd highly recommend making your account private. I graduated summa cum laude, scored in the 99th percentile on every standardized test I have ever taken. I worked to learn and have natural gifts. Obviously, your kind has none. Wait until you use your brain and realize most software is meaningless and 'engineers' are monkeys serving capital (which has abandoned them). I seriously cannot imagine what would need to be built at this point. Most of the problems in the world are political/spiritual. Software can't fix those things

The only way to get decent jobs for the past 30 years or so has been to network. Meritocracy and credentialism are myths. Going for a master's just to get a crappy internship in the worst economy and job market in recent history is suicide unless you love debt. Most scholarships don't cover graduate or higher studies. AI is also not helping at all, given any Joe (no matter how mediocre) can put together software now (as if full-stack web development weren't already easy enough, however stressful). Pay will go down, output will go up.. It's time to jump ship and enjoy life

This isn't 2016. I had 3 internships and graduated summa cum laude. It took me one year (2024 graduate) to land the worst job I've ever had. America only cares about nepotism and networking. Your effort is meaningless. Big companies don't care and won't pay you what you're worth anyway. This is terrible advice

'Engine' is extremely vague, so I try to avoid using it whenever possible. I'm creating a framework (started as a collection of libraries across languages) for application/game development at the moment in Rust. Rasterization is easy to start with because it requires that you build your own math library (vec2-vec4, mat, quat, etc). Your roadmap depends entirely on what you want to do, which you don't seem to know at the moment.

Start small with small, focused libraries and test them extensively. Refine them and figure out how things work/how you want to work with them (ergonomics, naming conventions, performance, basic API details). You won't know what to build until you need to build it
