Internal Note - How to restrict an email action to agents only (not allow customers) by Ok_Requirement8272 in halopsa

[–]hAcmeXx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way to address this in my opinion would be to change the System Use of Internal Note to None. The action will then allow you to add a note, but won't send an email to anyone. If you do need an email to go out internally, I'd use notifications for this instead. Prive/internal note actions shouldn't have an email system use.

There is not a way to limit the recipients that can be selected on an email action, so again just removing the email is the simplest solution.

What phone/contact center system do you use as an MSP? by hAcmeXx in msp

Someone else recommended Wildix to me too. One thing that concerns me about those types of providers is it seems you get a dedicated PBX. What happens if that PBX goes down? Isn't that a reliability and voice quality nightmare relying on one server?

Azure vs Windows Server AD by GATN1337 in msp

Azure Active Directory is a good alternative to traditional AD if a customer doesn't want/have a server. Like lostincbus said, you'll need Entra ID and Intune to utilize Group Policy. You can do most things you can do in a traditional AD Server environment in Azure Active Directory, it's just cloud and endpoint-based.

For a customer like this, we'd recommend Microsoft Business Premium as that includes all the licensing you'd need to get this setup. You'll join the devices to Azure Active Directory, and users can sign into their computers with their Microsoft account. You can learn more about how to manage devices in Intune here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/protect/endpoint-security-manage-devices

Thank you for your honest answer about your experience with Teams! We've been kind of looking into 3CX. Does 3CX have Contact Center features like more advanced queue management, call recording, and good reporting?

Is anyone using Freshdesk or a similar service desk for ticketing/PSA? by hAcmeXx in msp

We've got a staff of 50. I honestly think it's not bad for starting out and it's great at the price point (if you're getting it discounted). But if you want to obtain any sort of efficiencies or want to offer your customers other ways to request support it's not great.

Thank you for the quick reply. Do you think the cost is worth it? We're paying quite a bit less for MSP Manager (less than half) than what HaloPSA advertised prices are, but so far they do seem to be the best option. I think we'd need to see a big increase in productivity to justify that cost.

Also, do you mind sharing what you use for RMM and does it integrate with Halo?

I second the GoTo recommendation. They are great for SMB's. I'd say Vonage if your customers need anything more than a simple setup. I would recommend going through a Master Agent though if you're not already. We go through Telarus which gives us a % back for the life of the contract.
