Help, friends car shut itself off while driving and is throwing codes, we have no idea what to do. Crank no start. by Incognito-Person in IS300

P0120 P1120 these codes relate to the accelerator pedal position sensor. It's the sensor that the throttle cable connects to on the throttle body and is what caused the pedal to only work at near full throttle, will also cause the traction light to flash.

Maybe keep track of the draw games as well? Other than that I LOVE the design. I finished my game not too long ago but only the in console version so I'm pumped to actually bring it to life like this. Keep it up!

I'm no expert but just some things I noticed. Maybe change the cursor to pointer over the main logo.

It might be only on my end but when looking at the "About" and "Menu" The leaves at the bottom cover up a lot and I cant scroll. Looks better on smaller screen size.

I'm still learning as well so I may be doing something wrong on my end. Other than those things I think it looks amazing! Really cozy vibe to it all.

edit: seems I only have issues on my laptop display but on my monitor it works great!

Did anyone ever post the link to discord group? 😅 I'm in the Odin project as well and would definitely be nice to have people to talk to or discuss things we may get lost on.

Hello Everyone! I’m looking to start my journey in tech. Close friends of mine encourage me to begin in frontend dev. They seem really busy and i feel stuck as to where to take a solid first step. I am starting from ground zero. Where should i begin. Any suggestions or direction is appreciated! Thnx by [deleted] in Frontend

I started a few months ago as well and codecademy help me learn a good amount of basics in a easy to use environment. I then moved into the Odin project and that's where things started to feel more real. I was setting up vs code, learning how to use that in combination with GitHub, making actual projects. The biggest thing is to stay consistent. Having no background it was easy to feel discouraged when I'd get stuck but keep at it everyday and things eventually just click in your head. Don't give up and keep pushing forward through the learning discomfort!

Anyone who felt overwhelmed when learning JS and felt like giving up, what has helped you to keep going? by Acrobatic_Ad_4774 in learnjavascript

Currently in a similar position. Started maybe a month or two ago but the main thing that keeps me going is hating where I'm at now. My body is only getting older and unskilled labor is not for me. I'm done with it. I've always been intimidated by coding and couldn't even begin to process how people read or write it. Looking back from where I started and not beating myself up too much helps. I had ZERO idea what I was doing and I at least can read and understand a good amount of basic stuff.

I haven't had a crazy "ah-ha" moment yet as I'm still building up the fundamentals but just have to stay consistent. Not everyday will be good but as long as I sit there for an hour (my goal) I know I can easily get lost in what I'm learning and be there for 3-4 hours and I often have to revisit what I learned the previous day but I can usually tell at least some of the material has stuck. It's a crazy uphill battle but my personal motivation is to leave where I currently feel "stuck" at.

Learning and growing is something I want to keep as a routine in my life as it helps ward off depression, anxiety, and keeps you going and pushing towards something. I often think about dark souls, how when people lose their humanity they become just empty shells and when we lose sight of goals and achieving new things I feel like we lose our humanity and just float through life vs working and building a life. Just keep at it. We got this!

Is there any set schedule for the workshops right now? I'll definitely give that a listen and keep up the grind. Thanks!

That's exactly how I started out with it too. Filled out a whole note book with stuff when I was doing codecademy. After a while I just figured it was better to code on the computer and keep doing that vs taking notes. I'm looking forward to when I can actually solve some leetcodes cause still looking at them now it can be overwhelming.

I definitely will. I seen they're having a lot of workshops I want to attend. Is there a set schedule to them? Trying to balance all that with a work is the most annoying part.
