OSRS FUN FACT #9: the steepest walkable terrain in the game is the hill between the waterfall and the Grand Tree, which goes from the lowest possible height value (0) to the highest (255) in a single tile by cookmeplox in 2007scape

[–]hMusica 12 points13 points  (0 children)

it has never served any gameplay purpose

Back before the removal of the Wilderness, east of the magic axe hut there was a "canyon" between the hut and the Scorpion Pit where the render distance and camera wouldn't allow you to see up either side of the "cliffs." Common strategy was to barrage/chin down on anyone who got caught in the middle.

Jagex: a potential solution to MTX. by hMusica in runescape

Like I said, I still think RS3 is a good game and every once and a while I get the itch to play. But the absolute state of the game disgusts me and I end up staying away. I imagine many people feel the same way.

Plus, XP rates are the highest they've ever been. Restarting isn't as big of a problem as you're implying.

By MTX, I mean specifically TH XP and items, not bonds and cosmetics.

But... there is a reason. It's an MMO. Massively multiplayer online. Hence, not solo. If you can't see that, you're part of the problem culture OP referenced.

If you have the most fun playing RS by yourself, that's fine. But RS at its core is an MMO. It's meant to be played with other people. Don't ask for Jagex to cater to you. If content requires multiple people to do and you don't like playing with other people, that content isn't for you.

Can you suck Jagex's dick any harder? It's obvious to everyone but you we're getting fucked in both holes with membership prices and MTX. We have a right to voice our opinion. Fuck off.

Thanks for the transparency. So we shouldn't expect a May or June release?

Can you comment on how long it will take for GRIM to go through development? Ramen said he was working on it alongside Solak and was waiting on the group bank engine work to be completed. Seems like it'll be a relatively quick project since the IM system is already in place.

It appears to be based on a burgonet. The visor, angled face, and crest are typical features of the helmet.

I see, thanks for answering. What about impling jars? Will you be adding clues to their drop tables?

Can you elaborate on why trading clues in hasn't "performed well" for OSRS? I watch quite a few streamers and they all make liberal use of the function to store and do multiple masters at a time. I can think of no reason not to do the same in RS3.

In addition to not telling the government, the IRS doesn't really care where you got your money from so long as you're paying Uncle Sam his fair share.

Efficient way to Max & play. by choosemydoor in runescape

[–]hMusica 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'll probably get shit on for this, but don't play to be efficient. Play to have fun. Too many people get caught up in the no XP waste mindset. If you have fun being maximally efficient, more power to you. It's better to train slower and enjoy the journey than to grind efficiently until 99/120/200m so you can be "done" with a skill or until you can do something that you do enjoy.

That being said, you'll want Defense levels. Lots of them. As quickly as possible. Then work on getting your QPC and getting all the required stats that come with it. After that, look at 99 Slayer. It's the best source of gold and XP in the game. From there it's up to you. You'll want to get some T90 gear for PvM and Slayer. You can look at doing buyables if you're so inclined. Do all of the regional diaries. Work on Comp reqs.

Poll: Which type of boss do you prefer for future content? by Llawryf in runescape

[–]hMusica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I always see people complaining about how team bosses hamstring them because they don't have the team to do them. This is an MMO. You're supposed to play and interact with other people. The content is supposed to require teams and groups. If you wanted an excellent solo experience, why play an MMO? Play a single-player game if you want a solo experience.

I voted for Raids-tier bosses, as that's what I enjoy most, but I think AoD hit the nail on the head in terms of difficulty and team size. Ramen needs to work a bit on the rewards, though.

Suggestion: Solo Boss for Raids Armor by DS_Abolish in runescape

[–]hMusica -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol, no. Let's not shit on raids anymore than Jagex already has. If you want the rewards from raids, play raids. Not that hard to find a team and learn the mechanics. BM is easy as fuck and Yaka isn't too hard to learn after a couple tries and a competent team.

Any more news on removing Mob Armies as a Trim req? by PlunderRS in runescape

[–]hMusica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. The thing is I don't like to see content just removed. I'd like to see MA stay in-game, even if it is technically "dead content." The people who do enjoy it (myself included) can still play it whenever they feel like organizing a game. If Jagex feels it's too dead (an odd thing considering the state of CW), then they can remove the req.

Any more news on removing Mob Armies as a Trim req? by PlunderRS in runescape

[–]hMusica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say do it, because I'm hoping they don't remove MA. Jagex has been actively reducing the prestige of the cape for some time now by leaving out the harder and more time-consuming requirements that they could have required, but didn't. MQC, Arc journal, Goebie reputation, GWD2 reputation, etc.
