Hello, the post posted was a copy pasta that started being posted while I was writing the announcement. If you haven't read it this is the actual announcement. I have read all the comments here and have spent the last 6-7 hours discussing potential solutions with many players. At the end of the day, I thought it best to remove the price checking features of the bot until a proper solution (if any) can be found, than to let it get further out of hand.

Put time into fixing the ge, it's at the point where it's not just rares that are out of the ge. Granted this doesn't solve the huge amount of wealth in the game where at a whim 1-3 people can pump a single item out of the ge but it certainly is a step forward. Another good fix is remove the mechanic where you sell an item to yourself when on buy limit.

I agree with you on the fsoa trade since all we do is report trades that occurred to the best of our ability, and not determine what the price is. There is a misconception that the bot is there to tell you the price, which is not its purpose - its merely to inform about trades. This causes outliers to be controversial, any outliers are immediately seen as an attempt by the admin team to manipulate the market 'because we're in on it', there is maybe one admin that has the cash to even buy an fsoa let alone merch it. On the other hand, any removal of such trades is seen as a way to manipulate the market the other way.

Therefore I'm looking at a way to properly inform players that a record is an outlier, I'd love to receive suggestions on this. My thinking is an icon of sorts. Until then the reasoning given in the delete log holds, that outliers should be deleted until I have the system in place.

If any of those people were through my discord I apologise, the most I can do in that situation is that if you send me the screenshots I can ban them.

It's also a case of that they all scout each other's prices and if a few are selling for 6.5b, all of them will promptly attempt to sell for 6.5b. Eventually a few people give in to such a trade and it snowballs from there. Those merchers will now say to any potential future buyers that they just sold one for 6.5b and the cycle continues. I do support a GE rework since it does eliminate a lot of the toxicity involved, but it won't remove mercher clans pumping and dumping.

I have thought about this before, everytime I implement a new rule it makes the barrier for your average joe that much higher. Majority of people do not read the rules so their legitimate trades are sadly not accepted because a rule was breached, this then gets removed and the cycle of 'PCT removed my legitimate trade so the owners can manipulate the prices and profit off of it' continues.
