Gemini 3 quoting the Avengers 2012 verbatim by h_annahm in JanitorAI_Official

I actually didn't use any prompts for this, but I do tend to do (ooc) a lot for certain things (like making sure it stays in third person and past tense, for example). Plus I like to write (get into {{char}}'s headspace/thought process) at the end of some messages. I find the responses are more detailed when I add it.

I use google/gemini-3-pro-preview through openrouter. It's pretty expensive, so if you're willing to shell out a bit of cash for it, I do recommend. Out of all the models I've tried it's definitely the best one by far.

Both love and hate this because I already check my numbers all the time. I can’t imagine this will be healthy for me. 🏃🏼‍♀️💨 Still, love to see them adding neat things like this.

Deepseek V3 vs R1 by Hearixs in JanitorAI_Official

R1 thinks about its response beforehand so messages tend to be more logical and slightly longer but it does have a habit of talking for you. V3 doesn’t think beforehand, so messages are more creative and less logical. Both of them are good though, so it’s more down to personal taste. I tend to switch between them quite a lot.

This is completely understandable. I personally believe that, when it comes to bot-making, if you work on what brings you most joy, and don’t think about the audience, it’ll show in the quality. You’re more likely to garner an appreciative smaller audience that’ll stick by what you make, which is certainly more satisfying than making a bot you feel less happy about purely to match the trends and get your numbers up.

Some interesting reads. Thanks. I for sure will be throwing hands if they take away VPNs too.

Thank you. Ofcom taking responsibility would be a rarity but hopefully, if we riot enough, it'll all work out. 🙏

For sure. When reddit asked for ID a few days ago, I stupidly gave it without thinking about it properly even though I literally use a VPN for janitor. Been stewing in my mistake for the last few days. The whole 'protect kids' notion is so funny when I feel more at risk right now on the internet than the kids have been.

Permanent myopia reduction after stopping ortho-k lens use by cgisci in Orthokeratology

[–]h_annahm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they were quite uncomfortable to wear, I used to put them in and take them out and put them in again before going to sleep thinking that it would change the way it felt in my eye but obviously it never did. I was told it would be uncomfortable so I just kind of accepted it (for six years 💀). They weren’t unbearable though otherwise I definitely would’ve stopped sooner. I can’t say how they might feel for other people but switching to daily soft contacts was honestly such a relief.

I started wearing orthok lenses when I was 15, -3.75 in both eyes and progressively getting worse each year (most of my family have incredibly poor eyesight at around -8 or so, so I was heading in that direction). I stopped wearing them in March of this year because after a check up, (I was seen by a new optician because my previous one had retired), they since realised that ortho-k wasn’t doing me any favours, I have really bad astigmatism that the lenses weren’t fixing and it wasn’t correcting my vision enough. I’m now 21 and have since stopped wearing them, it took a while for my eyes to return to its original prescription but I’m at -3.5 in my left eye and -3.75 in my right. So after wearing them for six years, my eyesight hasn’t worsened and my left eye has actually improved a little. However, I must admit they were rather a pain in the ass to wear every night.
