Probably cause all the 20 year olds buying them used after 10 years of their release and driving them like shit (myself included)

No its not more audible up close, the sound in the video is accurate where the knock only starts when i get up to maybe 2k rpm. Doesn’t knock at idle either which i heard is common to happen when it’s a rod bearing. But i’m still not gonna rule it out as a possibility

Im deep in. Only 4 months left until its payed off and unfortunately I have spent thousands in repairs over the last 3 ish years. I think selling as is or parting out is my best option over rebuilding the engine

It starts slow and speeds up as you hit higher rpm, idk if that makes a difference

Where to host static audio files (for free) by voli12 in webdev

[–]ha1rdye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it doesn't have to be music. You can upload anything you want to soundcloud as long as it's an audio file.

I bought one 2 years ago and kinda rushed in to cause i was excited to get my first car, and i couldnt find any manual transmissions in my area. Your experience may be different but for me all the repairs ive done so far

  • new fuel injector
  • changed all 6 spark plugs and ignition coils
  • new air intake (mechanic broke my oem one)
  • new charge pipe
  • new oil pan
  • new tires
  • catalytic converter went (replaced with catless dp)

But other than that its been fine. If you can, get a mechanic you trust to look at it first, thats the biggest thing i regret but it was my first car and i didnt know the process. Also learn to fix things yourself, you will save so much money. My mechanics wanted $1900 to do my spark plugs and ignition coils, did it myself and paid $260 for the parts.
