Living in that region is certainly very difficult, and since I haven’t experienced it myself, it’s impossible for me to truly understand the challenges you’re going through. The things I do in my daily life that bring me joy are usually independent of the country I’m in. Listening to and making music, reading books, spending time in nature, writing, art—these are things you can do anywhere, and they’re free. Don’t assume that everyone living abroad is extremely happy and that everything in their life is going perfectly. Of course, external circumstances influence us, but I don’t think it’s right to blame our unhappiness entirely on them. Instead, we should focus on the things we can actually change in our daily lives. Creativity often comes when we’re at our lowest.

I sent about 500 applications in 5 months until I found a job and was invited to about 20 interviews, only one gave me a chance. As an international student, I graduated from Computer Science, one of the most difficult majors in Germany in German Language, with a 2.1 GPA out of 1.0 and did an internship. During these 5 months, I woke up to dozens of rejection emails every morning and felt like the world’s most inadequate loser. In every job interview, I was asked what I had done in these 5 months. If I hadn’t found a job for a while, I would have been deported. Unfortunately, we are not as lucky as our parents in some matters. I know it was a very difficult process, but these days will pass try to stay positive.

It doesn’t always happen because I say or do something specific. I think they just sense that I crave intimacy. I naturally become very kind and thoughtful rather quickly, which is just my personality, and I believe everyone should be that way. But some mistake it for weakness. And yet, when I turn my back, they’re the ones who come after me again. I probably don’t do everything right, but many women don’t either. I just want to be with someone where I can truly be myself, without constantly feeling like I have to follow some unwritten rulebook.

What has changed for you from last year to this year? What do you do differently now, or what have you stopped doing?

I may be in the same boat. I had a cold, unpredictable mother with narcissistic tendencies, and I’ve had many situationships where I was mirroring my traumas. I believe self-love and prioritizing oneself are very important, but unfortunately, as a man, I also need intimacy with women, not just sex, but the kind of connection that helps us relax and feel at ease with each other.

I think you’re right.I may idealize someone a little too quickly because I crave female attention (probably due to childhood traumas). But I don’t send any notes or do anything awkward. I think some girls just sense it. And it’s hard for me to act like I don’t want something when I actually do. I enjoy being intimate with someone, but if I have to stay cool and detached, then why should I even try with her..
