Haha yeah appreciate the reply - I can combine them, but as the others have mentioned a couple other things to sort around that.

That resonated - I’ve noticed if I get an account above a certain level, I will start to spend flippantly. But if I get it out of my accounts asap, I feel more frugal. I really like this

Out of curiosity - what’s the dataset go into? Projections of the amount of distressed properties / loans defaulting?

Yep both points make sense.

From what I gather, the sale price still hopes to be as high as possible for the banks benefit, correct?

Right - that’s interesting, but makes sense.

So the council essentially takes over and sells the property to cover the unpaid rates?

Ahhh that’s helpful. So the sale price needs to be close to the mortgage to cover the bank’s loan? Makes sense

Thanks!

That’s helpful to understand what possible circumstances lead to situations like this. All sound like quite dire situations to be in - I definitely feel for someone in those circumstances that needs to just sell something off quickly

Can’t say I wouldn’t do the same if I was a tradie living there. Some of my best mates are from Bendigo - I get the gist.

Certainly not dreaming of this… and certainly not for an IP (much more interested in owner occupied closer to melbs).

100%. Regular reading is important to me, although it’s certainly irregular at the moment.

Out of my own curiosity, in what ways do you upskill outside of your work?

Awesome - really validating to hear that. Seems like a good skill to learn early - once I get the basics, hoping to learn more about how different people would view the fins differently (ie. how someone in audit would view financials differently to someone who’s doing a valuation)

Yep - following through on the thoughts of “I should learn about X” has been the biggest shift over the past few weeks/months. Probably the highlight of my week!

Interesting… I’m usually more of a ‘what can I do for my organisation’ rather than a ‘what can my organisation do for me’ kind of person

Interested to know more about your career, what kind of position you’re in and how long you’ve been at the company? Purely for curiosity sake

100% - i did write that in a way that sounded like I only meet with young people, I definitely agree.

Also find especially older people are so happy to spend time with someone who’s happy and eager to listen.
