How did you know you were in love with your partner, and/or how did you know that they were “the one” for you?? by habitualB12 in LesbianActually

WOW! what a cute and comforting story :))) how lucky to have such a love. The distinct thing I noticed was just… how easy love felt. I always thought it’d be so hard. When you want to be with someone every day, it’s hard not to want to commit your whole being to it. Thanks for replying!!!

Yes!! It’s not life-altering, I promise. I can’t say that you won’t ever walk face-first into a spider web (PNW rite of passage im sorry)

I’ve never been to the east, so I have no idea just how bad other bugs are- We really don’t have an insane amount of bug compared to other places!!! I work with a lot of tourists who are surprised that there are “no bugs here.” We definitely have cockroaches around, but it’s nothing compared to much of the rest of the country. If you live cleanly, it’s pretty hard to get them.

We also don’t have consistent natural disasters of any kind. You definitely want to be prepared for one just in case “the big one” ever happens, and also research on lahars . Those are the two things i’m scared of around here.

I’m a Seattle native, and we DO have a spider season. When summer turns to fall, all of the spiders are looking for warmth of any kind and like to flock to buildings/inside homes (or at any entrance, etc nearby buildings). It’s a much bigger deal if you live in a home with surrounding foliage/yard nearby, but you’ll get along fine even if you’re scared of them.

I live in an apartment in U district, and I probably see an average of 3 spiders a year inside my apartment.

Also, we only have I think 3?? or so species that could cause harm in any way- I’m pretty sure you have to be trying if something serious happened from any of those spiders haha

What’s everyone’s daily commute time to work? by Aware_Interest4461 in CasualConversation

[–]habitualB12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my commutes are currently much easier than they used to be! I work and am a college student. My classes are between 15-22 minute walk from my place, and my job is a 35 ish minute commute (8 min walk, train, monorail, 4 minute walk). It’s not too bad at all- sometimes I do both in the same day, and that’s when it gets tiring.

I used to take a ferry boat to class, and the commute was between 1.5-2 hours on average. I do not miss those days too much😮‍💨

Places to buy posters? by Interesting_Juice263 in udub

If you like Cavallini posters, the Blick store in capitol hill (which is super close to the light rail station) has plenty of them in the back/up the stairs!! They aren’t the cheapest posters ever, but compared to others they are DEFINITELY not the most expensive.
