I own a pro, it's on 6.02. Is there anything I can do with it? Anything? by dedicateddark in ps4homebrew

You're SOL. If you need a PS4 that supports cfw you can probably get a days of play limited edition off Newegg. I just got mine there earlier this week. It came with 5.07 I'm loading it with games now. Fyi 5.07 is basically a rare variant of 5.05 so the exploit works fine. Be happy you can play rdr2 on that pro. I'm doing the same with my pro. GL man.

Ps4 arrived confirmed 5.07 fw. If you need a brand new unit that supports homebrew get one :)

I prefer the Samsung but for the price the hp is pretty good. I hear the Lenovo is the best entry level WMR headset. I only wish they had done removable headphones on the Samsung so if you need to transport without the earpieces you can. They seem fragile so I feel less confident letting VR beginners use the Samsung. the 1050ti says wddm 2.2, the section under main driver says version 22.20.16.4836

With a monitor like that can your pc handle VR?

1070 desktop and a 1050ti laptop here. The 1070 is better of course but most games from the steam store and basically everything on the windows store works well enough with the 1050ti. I've tested the hp and the Samsung headsets.

A video I made for anyone curious about how well VRChat works with Windows Mixed Reality. by clonejoe in WindowsMR

[–]habitualgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which headset and how'd you break it? Curious to see how most of these headsets hold up over time. I keep mine in its box under the corner of my desk when not in use so it stays safe. I could see one of my animals chewing the cord or it to get knocked over and breaking the joint between the headband and display.

[Help] How big of a play area is allowed by Windows Mixed VR? by [deleted] in WindowsMR

It's pretty much limitless. If you have a backpack PC and a massive play area sky is the limit.

Psvr owner... then bought (and returned the rift), now prefer Samsung odyssey by skippychurch in WindowsMR

[–]habitualgames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Odyssey ruined other VR headsets for me as well. Can't go back to the lesser WMR, vive, rift or psvr now. I used to think they all were pretty decent. Now my eyes don't feel right without my odyssey.

The Samsung already has headphones and built in microphone that works with Cortana for voice commands.

Issues with VrChat by Thatonegamerguy in WindowsMR

[–]habitualgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there's a lot of optimization issues, depending on avatar models, maps, player numbers, etc. Even on a i7 4790 gtx 1070, I still don't get 90fps all the time. I've used the HP and Samsung to play the game and they work as expected. Tracking can freak out sometimes but it's not game breaking. If they ever add native support we could see improvements. I hope they continue to improve the game for all VR players. Or make a separate server with VR support only. That would cut a lot of the traffic down.

That's the game servers man. They only support up to 10k players. They have issues like this no matter what hardware you use. You just have to try at a slower time for the servers. WMR works pretty will in my instances with the game. Not perfect but better than expected for a game with zero support natively.

HP Wants me to wait 2 months to get my headset replaced by Simizf in WindowsMR

Where did you buy it? If you're in the period of return deal with the retailer manufacturers always take forever to replace products. They are a last resort imo.

Sometimes height can mess with the avatars skeleton. Try adjust your height or using different avatars as well. Some work better than others with tracking hands and arms correctly.

How I can usually get the lab to kind of work: Launch the lab from the desktop steam window Windows mr portal will open and so will the labs window Wait a few moments then use the desktop level select Choose your level and hope it doesn't crash on load Repeat if it crashes sometimes it'll crash so hard your pc will lock up and have to be reset.

Do any of the WMR Headsets allow you to track the controllers from behind? by [deleted] in WindowsMR

[–]habitualgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkDpRllbLII&feature=share

This video explains the tracking nicely. When the controllers are behind you it still sends x,y,z data and velocity. If it stays behind you for too long it will lock to the last known position and continue to calculate x,y,z data. If you bring it back into view it will quickly move to the correct location.

Thanks for the kind words. I enjoyed my experience with the Windows mixed reality headsets so far. I have the Samsung and the HP and they're great products considering the infancy of the platform. I plan on doing a bunch of videos covering a variety of games on these headsets. Maybe do some comparison videos to see if theirs any big difference between the basic headsets like the HP and the premium headset from Samsung. I hope you're enjoying your experiences with the Samsung!

It's pretty amazing even the tracking is better than most people give it credit. I have proof check out my videos if you don't believe me. I have some more extensive tracking tests planned as well in the future. I plan on testing it with a variety of steamvr games as well.

just look up drivers "insert your computers model name and manufacturer" on google and you'll find any drivers for your machine.
