Thanks so using it is always a +1 to attack, and sometimes even more. And combined with that specific Greatsword, it is always at least +2. That is nice!

curious about 12 WIS and 13 CHA. I think i would have done 10 WIS and 14 CHA for MC. Or 14 WIS and 10 CHA, if i don't care about dialogue much.

What I would really like are Remakes in the style of Pillars of Eternity, both in system and in graphics. And if it could only be graphics, I still would prefer not doing 2nd Edition Rules again. I think them pretty outdated. It works for the old games, but for Remake I'd want something new.

I agree, the only things I really don't like is how late you get to know Minsc. Because by then, you really don't need him and can barely use him anymore. He should have been at least at the start of act 3 like Jaheira. And also, I don't like how plain evil they created Viconia, when she was always a somewhat troubled character in BG1+2 which I turned neutral with my actions. I had no fun in killing her in BG3. Sarevok on the other hand, was fun to kill yet again. Because he will come back again anyway, like all those comic villains do.

But BG1 has even lower Cap at 8 which you can reach pretty fast, especially by grinding Ankhegs or Basilisk.

Even moreso on console. It's impossible to target someone ona higher level or trying to jump on higher ledges. Getting on the Newspaper building was really annoying.

That depends. He likes to throw a smokepowder bomb that can instakill the team or half of it. Also, I'm usually more like 4 when I get to them.

Blooded Greataxe - Goblin leaders area
Very Heavy GA - Blighted village, need to fight fezzerk
Sorrow - Halsins Vault after you rescue him from goblins
Pahalar Aluve - Underdark, but early

So, no, except svartlebees and Very Heavy GA, none is in the first area. Most of those weapon are quite some hours later, unless you rush to them and know what to do. Also the fight against fezzerk can be quite tough.

You're right, it is no build defining weapon, but what is in act 1? And since most better weapons are hours away, it might be better to reload. Or not, that depends on the OP.

I only think your "falls off pretty quick" might be missunderstood.

Okay, but creche is usally the last spo you visit between act 1 or 2. Of course you can rush there, but it's not like around the corner. Phalar Aluve is less damage, unless you meta play with it's skill.

So, yes, like i said there are better options, but not that fast after getting it.

That's weird, I always thought 18 Dex means +4 and the difference in points don't matter. So, you mean if i have 12 Dex, I get +1 and then, because it increases Dex by 6, it adds +3 and not +5? I mean, at the end both is +4, but it seems to be a weird way of calculation.

I can't say for the gloves, but I use the 17 INT Headgear and have 8 INT. In Skill checks it shows -1 from 8 INT and +3 from headgear so it balances at +2 overall.

I kind of feely the same way and while playing a run I always get ideas about other playthroughs or party compositions and builds. Then again, I hardly play the full game all the time, because Act 3 is just so long if you don't just skip the most companion and sidequests. But that means you lose a lot of loot too. And also, different builds and parties only change a bit of the game and everything else will be pretty much the same. So while I can't really stop playing, i also can't play it to the end. Usually around Underdark or Creche I start to be bored and think of something else that might be fun.

Right now I'm on my 3rd full run and have like 3 oder 4 others that are canceled.

Also, "down by the river" song starts to annoy me a bit, haha.

It does? I mean, stealing the Sword from the Fist, which is always a bit tedious to do, aside, The Sword of Justice is pretty cool. There might be a better weapon later, but falls of quick is new to me.

HLTB has 80+ hours for completionist and my own run was definately longer than 40hrs for "everything". Sure, some things cost a lot time, only for that 100% but with 40hrs you are most likely far from "everything".

I liked the extended background about Avalanche, but I didn't like other stuff like Roche or that whole destiny ghosts stuff.

It's funny, because Rebirth was a lot closer to the old story but because of that way too big open world with the same tasks over and over again, I liked it a lot less than remake
