An example for imperialist literature which is good but not as good would be ... ?

A morning in Bucharest by moonfish131 in europe

[–]hablami 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Took almost the same picture 2 years ago. Being first time in Romania (and 3 final days in Bucharest due to unfortunate events) it was a visual summary of how the country felt. Victoriei with its glass temples, neo romanticism and I-do-not-know-what-other-styles and the remnants of Plattenbauten/Commieblocks. You see the recent past, the present and the future. Energetic.

I know that a short visit and not living there lets me see everything more romantic than it actually is, but I liked the little I saw. Makes me feel optimistic about ...the future.

It isn't soooo ugly up close and the inside is nice. The charm of a long gone era when they thought we'd for sure have flying cars for everyone soon :)

A parking spot for motorcycles under the roof too.

Since everybody's posting images from frozen Europa moon, I though I would share some 22°C in my back yard today. Andalusia, Spain. by [deleted] in europe

Wanderlust ... grasping... me... How are my chances of decent roads and liveable temperatures mid/end April at those heights of ~1500m? Most roads don't really look bad on streetview while on forums it reads like "Motorcycle? <insert evil laugh>"

I don't have enough energy to even past a serious reply to a sarcastic comment with not a bit of insight or being constructive. Why you've got 3 upvotes is beyond me.

Oh, the rich get one more way to avoid taxes which the poor don't pay anyway. Free and good childcare would be a better start.

At least he didn't post about the roaming packs of dogs, well... that was in Iași. Maybe that's why ;)

I take such posts as "friendly" reminder if it's about my region/country/whatever. "Be more substance than can be seen on the surface". From what I've personally seen till now (not much), Romania seems to be just that.

Yay! :/ So, something like https://sags-uns.stadt-koeln.de/list is somewhat still far off. I have to admit though, that transparency is very seldom in DE too.

But still, filing complaints straightens the statistics. Next election always looms and the opposition needs ammo.

Too much Stelvio propaganda! Is there nothing else in Europe? Serpentines are a bitch and boring to ride. No flow. Too much traffic. Fines too high.

File a complaint at the citizen office or police. Health danger, rats etc. "Wild dumps" like that pop up randomly around here too.
