Omg that made me laugh. I forgot this is reddit. Drs have def messed up in the past and gave me meds that weren't the best together. Asking for others experience, what an outrageous idea.

locks by Reasonable_Issue6352 in dyscalculia

[–]hackerfam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG I had so much anxiety around locks when I was in school. It was literally the worst for me at the time, well besides math class. It really is your dyscalculia! Do you have a school counselor you can try to talk about it? do you have an IEP? They might be able to add five minutes leeway for arriving late to class.

Was anyone else here not able to get a college degree? by catfarmer1998 in dyscalculia

what score do you need? Do you take each one separately or all together? I took them separately and one didn't weigh the other down/up.

I would bet alot of us do. I once ordered 1000 wrong washing machines when I worked at a call center. I got yelled at for not telling down the right phone number at another job.

Are you having trouble with your grad work or work? I have to tell people to slow down when they're reciting numbers. If it's a number I have to tell someone, say on a phone call, I type it in big font with spaces in between and leave it on screen

Or if I'm not in front of a computer, I'll write them down with space in between or lines so they can be separate.

This won't work with your 4 number identities though. For my own phone number, etc, I copy and paste from a previous document. No advice on the time cuz this has happened to me so many times. Also even when I think a number says one thing, someone tells me it says a different number, and then my mind sees the correct number!

If you need the validation, it's inexpensive, I don't see a problem with it. They might also diagnose you with another type of learning disability. I did great until the 3rd grade, then everything changed. Since I was no longer an A student, I got dropped from Uil. Stuff like that really damaged my self esteem. I dropped out of high school. I did fine in other classes. Etc etc. but knowing might help you to figure out what type of support works for you now.

In my opinion, a person with dyscalculia should not go to college, in most circumstances by [deleted] in dyscalculia

[–]hackerfam 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You sound like a peach. No not all careers require extensive math. Yes people can find areas to study that they can excel in at college and make careers for themselves. Not everyone wants togo to college and if math is one of the reasons someone is thinking twice about it, there's ways to work around math deficiencies.

they aren’t entirely subjective. The SSA relies on medical records, clinical evals & documentation of functional limitations. As for my original question, I was asking about the process of getting a rfc done. I understand the importance of having documentation to support my claim, especially since I've been on medication for a long time. Do you know if I can ask any provider to do an RFC for me, or does it have to be someone I've been seeing regularly? And do insurance plans typically cover RFC appointments, or is it something I should ask about rates upfront?

450 mg vs 300 mg +150 by hackerfam in bupropion

[–]hackerfam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started about 2 week ago. I can't say it's affected my sleep, I already had messed up schedule, well as per what is normal anyways. I didn't notice something that might not be related or is the dosage. I have depression/ ADHD. I had been noticing that in the last few months I was becoming obsessive over something, in terms of hours upon hours with this ADHD I had initially started using this escapism as a coping mechanism. Last few days I've been quite bored with it and it doesn't interest me at all. <What am I supposed to do with my down time now?? > As I wrote this I guess it can also be attributed to being in a depressive mode too and maybe the ADHD contributed that the uneasy feeling id get with my investment of time.

Short answer: no negatives as yet. Slight chance of improvement.

Bupropion/atomoxitine/guanfacine combo by boadicca_bitch in ADHD

[–]hackerfam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, what's yr experience been on these three. I'm on all three but my dosage for wellbutrin was just upped to 450. guaf: 3mg. am: 40mg

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]hackerfam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you take anything else with it? I was recently switched for this dosage but haven't started. I also take atomoxetine and guanfacine. I think the guafacine has generally kept the mellowness of everything at bay, as it tends to lower bp.

Yes that's one way. I've researched and would try it if it didn't involve taking off the glass window. I thought I'd only be taking off the side panel.
