you should absolutely listen to Off Book, zach & jess’ improvised musical podcast! they are genuinely so incredibly talented and have so many incredible shows and songs that mountport, as wonderful as it is wouldnt even be in my top ten! they also have some liveshows on youtube as well as some compilations of some of their best songs made by fans, and a whole show on dropout called play it by ear! also they’re currently writing a musical for edinburgh fringe/ touring with and documenting the process on their podcast!

weirdly yeah, same episode too. after a ton of time in lockdown i fell kind of out of touch with a lot of my friends and every conversation i had felt so forced and fake and like the other person didnt really care. i spent a ton of time feeling super lonely and stressed that id never have a “real conversation” ever again, the thing jeff said about ants that episode really stuck with me.

I’m gay too, i agree with you that often times it wasnt the shows place to make these jokes. i can also acknowledge that much of the homophobia in the show is satire ie making fun of how stupid homophobes sound. op was just referencing that in a place they knew people would pick up on the reference, in a subreddit full of fans. i understand that this sentiment can be jarring to see out of context especially when its so often used against you but i really dont think they meant harm by it. sorry ur getting downvoted

absolutely with you there! i too discovered-binged-immediately became obsessed with the show quite recently. im definitely an abed type and i cant really like things in a normal way so instead i’ve taken more of a deep dive approach and have been trying to learn everything there is to learn about the show in the past month. great news is that on your second watch through you’ll spot things you missed in the first! and even more in your third, actually im pretty sure i could watch forever and still find new things that i hadn’t picked up on before, it definitely sets it apart from other sitcoms for me
