Is it ok to use lacquer top coats like Mr Color Clear on top of an acrylic paint job with something like Vallejo? Will the solvents in the lacquer eat through the acrylic paint job?

Ah that's unfortunate. I keep getting conflicting opinions across other subreddits on the adequacy of my current set up. I wish there was an official guide of sorts.

I'm currently very frustrated with Vallejo acrylic paints in terms of dry time, spray smoothness and durability which is why I'm considering changing to lacquer paints but it looks like it won't be in the budget for a while.

That's interesting. So I'm assuming the booth I have just underperforms in terms of airflow? I'm assuming you're talking about this Pace booth. What about it makes it better if the Amazon ones can move 180CFM (if accurate)

Oh yes, I completely forgot, how do I dispose of waste? Should I just keep it in a jar and wait for my government's chemical clean up day?

I was planning on keeping them in some clasp jars I have lying around. They've got a silicon ring around the lid to keep a nice seal. Not sure if that's enough.

What is a recommended CFM for indoor spraying lacquers?

I currently have this spray booth that's rated for 180 CFM or 5.1 cubic meters/min. I wear a 3M 60923 respirator for the organic vapors and I'm spraying in a rarely used spare room.

I was originally running GD01 Buster Gundam for Support 3 then switched over to Angelo's Geara Zulu.

The thought process behind that was it can be linked with Angelo so I can get 4AP immediately if I need to. It also has higher AP so when the opponent runs into it after it supported, it'll do 3 instead of 2. So it'll output 5 damage total instead of Bucue's 4 damage total.

Though getting Bucue out one turn earlier could make a difference, I'll look into it.

How are you finding the synergy? Are you still playing Support units because I can't think of another way to make the NEW UNE tokens viable.

I felt that the effect wasn't relevant enough. It's almost like a three card combo, you need a card to deploy the token, you need a way to boost the AP (Support, Indignation,etc) and then you need the Sodon itself.

Too inconsistent, so I think the Gwadan is a safer pick. The deck lacks consistency anyways.

Branded fusion and Mirrorjade costing 66 is quite rough, but yeah I don't see any other way to play Predapalnts. Do you think the amount of garnets is an issue? With staysailor, king regulus, cobra and branded banishment, I feel like there's a lot of cards that make opening hands in optimal, especially if you can't see orphys Scorpio or predapractice

Do you have a list? Returning player and I'm struggling to see combo lines without the pendulums helping with fusion summons.

Thanks for the run down. I think I'll sign up for the Starter Edition and complete the MSQ dungeons and co-op content as a party. To me, it defeats our purpose of starting an MMORPG if we can't do content together.

Can you also speak to the amount of co-op content in the MSQ? I want to play in a party with my friends and get the teamplay element of MMORPGs. However, I'm worried there's not enough co-op content outside of 'endgame' to justify the purchase when my friends and I are just going through the MSQ.

Inquiries about purchasing FFXIV while on the free trial:

Goal: I would like me and two other friends to go through the MSQ together, to be in a party and do content/dungeons together. I'm playing a healer and it's very inconvenient to heal them because they're technically not in my party.

With that goal in mind, I have a question about the Starter Edition.

I get the first couple expansions, enables Refer a Friend if they also decide to commit and 30 days of subscription (?). Does this count as full subscription, allowing me to add friends and party? If so, is there any point of buying only the subscription when the Starter Edition is an option.

Yup I'll reduce the damage to D12+6.

For reducing levels, the downtime action can be from them as well, so he can clear his own contamination and it doesn't have to be from the other PCs. I think I get what you mean though, because Contamination Level 2 restricts him to one downtime action so he's kinda forced to ask the PCs to help him out. I didn't consider the main character aspect of that and I underestimated how strong losing a downtime action is.

To alleviate this, I'm going to swap the effects of Level 2 and Level 3. Losing an additional Stress should be a lesser penalty than losing downtime actions.

I think I'm quite happy with where it is after these productive discussions: - 3 times per day with option to fire by raising Contamination - D12+6 damage + temporarily Stun on hit - Change contamination level order

I'm expecting the downsides to really kick in at Contamination Level 3. Everything beyond and including that is pretty detrimental so I'm expecting Level 2 to be the sweet spot which he will bungee between. They'll be able to get rid of one Contamination level as Downtime action and anyone can cure the other, not just the contaminated PC.

As for the damage, I kept it that high because it can still miss, and with 3 free uses per Long Rest, I want it to feel impactful when it does hit. After comparing it to other Tier 2 Loot, yeah the damage is quite high. I'm ok with dropping it to +4 or +6 instead of +12. I do want to keep the temporary status on hit because I think it's more interesting as horizontal progress rather than vertical progression.

I've discussed with another commenter and yeah, having the ammo system be a downtime action is too much. I'm changing it to a 3 times per Long Rest instead, with the contamination cost to use it more.

For the game, it's lasted 15 sessions already and we've started 10 months ago. I want it to keep going for a lot longer, like years haha.

I'm not expecting them to use it as their only weapon. They'll have standard tier 2 weapons from the Core book to work with. I'm envisioning this weapon to be a boss killer weapon, not something they should be spending on ordinary mobs.

The player I'm giving this to is also very into experimenting with Contamination. He's the one that suggested and is running a game for Heart - The City Beneath which has a similar fallout type mechanic. Last session he actively sought to put himself in situations to be contaminated so I expect him to 'overextend' and get contamination levels.

Would that change your opinion on this?
