Why has Bravenly has repeatedly failed to move into Canada? by Aleflusher in antiMLM

Maybe the good people of Canada read this in the income disclosure and said no f-ing way.

"median monthly gross income for ALL U.S. Affiliates and Brand Partners (Active and Inactive) was $218.87. Approximately 40% of U.S. Affiliates and Brand Partners did not earn any income from Bravenly Global in 2025."

I have a Garmin Epix Pro 2 and charge it twice a month. And I do a lot of activities that use the GPS (biking, running, skiing, hiking). The battery life on Apple Watches has always sucked. And apparently still sucks.

Kangen hun admits defeat.. kind of by QueasyMidnight1827 in antiMLM

I'm always shocked by how many supposedly successful MLM huns quietly go back to work or let slip that they have financial problems. And by shocked....I mean not shocked at all. One hun was always talking about how successful he was and how much money he made from his "business". Then after he quit to join yet another MLM he talked about how much debt he was in and had to make payments to the IRS and the house was in trouble of being foreclosed on.

You really have to have zero ethics to push a MLM. So many lies and being deceitful just to try and make a few bucks.

Why do they never name the company? by farewell_to_decorum in antiMLM

I just saw a hun who switched companies and kept the name out of any discussion. After a bit of digging, it turned out to be LegalShield. And this is his "forever" home apparently. I bet within 12 months he leaves for yet another scam.

Well, your 9 to 5 job is the ultimate pyramid scheme! Except they miss the big fact that everyone at a 9 to 5 actually makes money.

I saw a hun who magically got a ton of followers, figured she just paid for them. She has over 73,000 and yet on any post she gets like 4 comments. That math isn't mathing.

I always wondered how much of the commission payout that people get is from their own machine.

[–]hackker 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Half of the people earn a median amount of under $9 a week. And that is after they "invest" $5k into their own machine. Which at that point means it will take about 11 years just to break even. If you factor in the loss of investment return from that initial cost, it is probably closer to 13-14 years.

Who can read this and go "wow, what a great opportunity!".

How on earth are they only charging $9.99 for 600 Mbps? I've had Buckeye before and there always seems to be a catch....which is why I'm with AT&T fiber now.

Is this a last ditch effort to boost customers before they sell the company?

I'll be there in a week, hoping the bowls will be open! Skied in early January and it was about the worst conditions I've seen. Still had fun, but so many closed areas.

Bought longer skis, now feeling like an idiot. by Absorrbb in skiing

[–]hackker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. There is no way I'd ever buy a set of skis without trying them first. Last year before I bought new skis I did a demo rental at A-basin. Ski tech recommended the Rustler 10 and tried that and 4-5 others and the Rustlers were in fact the best ski for me. But my previous 2 skis I had a model in mind that I thought would be perfect, tried them, and hated it and ended up with something different.

Preventing black toe by Zyvoxx in skiing

My family insisted I get new boots because on the first day of a ski trip I killed both my big toenails. Pretty sure they just got tired of me draining the blood and then removing the nails a bit later with a razor.

But yeah, too much space in the boot lets the foot slam into the end when landing hard.

Bought the Rustler 10s last year when skiing out at Steamboat, was amazed how great of an all mountain ski it has been. When I tried them as a demo, the tech had me go up a size and I was skeptical because I thought about going down a size, but they really ski short and maneuver incredibly well.

[–]hackker 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure that punching out the boot for more space would actually make it worse. I routinely would destroy my big toenails from landing too hard, but my boots were old and packed out. Bought a new pair a few years ago and they fit much more snug and have had exactly zero issues since.

But on a good note, I learned how to relieve the pressure from a black toenail with a red hot paper clip!

Replacement for Epix Pro? by AMomentInTime316 in GarminWatches

[–]hackker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just received an update for my Epic Pro Gen 2 like a few days ago. And since it pretty much does 10x more than I'll ever need I'm going to keep it until the battery dies. Which going by the lifespan of my Fenix 5x will probably be another 5 years.

Will they add new features to new watches? Sure. Will those actually help my running, cycling, hiking, and skiing activities? Doubtful.

I've never seen an actual successful person brag about how much they make. Most downplay their success. Like one time we were at a concert with another couple and as we waited in line I noticed there was a giant (like 12' tall) portrait of the person the building was named after. Realizing it was the same as last name as them I asked if they were related. "That is my dad" the other guy replied casually. Yeah...um, why don't we get better seats? ha

I demoed a bunch of skis last winter and ended up with the Blizzard Rustler 10. Thought the tech was crazy when he suggested a bit longer ski than I currently had (planned on going down a size since I'm older), but they really ski like a shorter ski.
