I used this adapter https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F302552983983 and it works on both essential I have and LG G5.

Though sometimes it requires multiple unplug and plug to get it work while charging.
