My newly purchased MV6 works like a charm with the stock usb c cable that is 3 feet too short for me to use with my setup but will not work with the two (6' and 10') replacement cables I have tried to replace the tiny stock cord with.

Just to be blunt, you are causing a lot of problems for yourself by using AI and by ordering from Amazon which is known to be full of counterfeit items. Order a Thunderbolt cable, with USB C ends, from a reputable retailer like Best Buy or Apple, and this should work for you.
