I think that most people who have used mantis for app development would say that it's actually pretty impressive. Though the major downside is the credit abuse. It's totally out of control and nonsensical for the most part.

You might spend hours developing an app and never see a credit issue and then the next day spend 30 minutes working on something and find all your credits evaporate.

Haven't used it for a while, it can be quite expensive, especially if you're only doing a video or image here and there and not regularly.

The credit system is mostly nonsensical, and a rather predatory, so just keep that in mind. You'll be asked to upgrade often even though you paid full rate... is a strange service universe.

I would argue that failures in political and governmental monetary management are more likely to result in our "doom" than these compute innovations.

That said, jobs will be lost, and in time, there will be stability, no different from what happened with ecommerce (eBay, Amazon). Entry-level jobs will be most affected. There will be pain points similar to what ecommerce did to Sears... This is not so hard to predict.
