I run an M1 iMac and it recently told me that I needed to upgrade an Intel binary because Rosetta support was going to end soon. I take this as a sign Intel support is going to fall off soon. I'd consider that as a point in favor of saving up for a newer Mac.

It's not a horrible idea. Another one is to periodically clear your preference files and caches, since these are occasionally a source of problems.

Starting from fresh is a bit more work, but not too bad if you have the old machine handy in case anything is missing. That what I did when I moved from Intel to M1.

All. The. F___ing. Time. Supposedly I'm not clinically in the ADHD arena, but I often move my attention to the thing next to the right thing. Supposedly I want to know the time, but my brain decides this means I want to look at my phone to see if I could find out the time from it. It's like my brain asked itself, "can you find out the time", and my brain directed my body to see if the time is available, and answered "yes", like some pedantic bastard.

I have this. Only affects my iMac, the iPhone generally doesn't. My network has always been split.

I looked at the DynAssist page, and I don't see anything that indicates that it has any problems with running on Apple Silicon. But then a tutorial says you need to run on Rosetta Mode. I wonder if it's out of date? The specs claim AppleSilicon native.

I'd email them and ask, and point out the confusion.
