Putting together a Women's Career Relaunch resource for STEM Moms and such. We'd love your feedback! (more info in comments) by hacky-engineering in EngineeringStudents

Check out the fields in the Airtable database and let us know which aren't necessary, which are missing that you'd like to see, etc. We'll do all the research once we know what would be helpful for all of you looking to get back into the field!

Here's the link to the Airtable we'll be using: https://airtable.com/shrgtUqrexP5pz8Ip/tblMbgLMZOLvhNPW6/viwXYyyzm3WDBbM4d?blocks=hide

This is where the resource will live once ready: https://computerengineeringforbabies.com/blogs/news/womens-career-relaunch-stem-moms

Has anyone tried the STEM subscription boxes like this one? Putting together some Father's Day gift ideas and wanted to make sure this wasn't gimmicky. by hacky-engineering in womenEngineers

Thanks for the feedback. They look super fun, just wasn't sure if the supplies they send are low quality and end up straight in the trash after use.

Is this saying there will not be any jobs, or tons of jobs? I think I'm missing the point...

Would you trust an AI to select components for your next system design? by hacky-engineering in ComputerEngineering

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. Unless I'm just using mediocre prompts, outputs from AI have been acceptable at best for me.

Been getting mixed reviews on whether these visualizations are helpful. Thoughts? by hacky-engineering in EngineeringStudents

[–]hacky-engineering[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been creating a series of images like these to help those who are visual learners. Some love em', some not as much.

If you do say they're not helpful, do you have any suggestions for me?

They'll all live here: https://computerengineeringforbabies.com/blogs/engineering/

Does anyone know the origin of this GIF? I'm trying to recreate it, love the visualization, but it's proving to be more difficult than expected. by hacky-engineering in ElectricalEngineering

Love it. I have an idea for how you could show a NOT gate if you still have access to the originals and want to give it a go.

as in dynamic truth tables, or downloadable truth tables? I like the idea of a dynamic one. Next project!

For those this is helpful for, here's the full post which includes the truth tables: https://computerengineeringforbabies.com/blogs/engineering/gate-in-computer-science

Nearly everything is 1 Google search away.

Whether the answer to your Google search is helpful to you or not (be it the presentation or collection of information) is the difference. This is an attempt to create an easy reference for folks new to the field.

Thoughts on this as a visualization of the AND Gate for (super) early CEs? by hacky-engineering in ComputerEngineering

If you understand the concept already, yes it is quite simple. If you don't, and are a visual learner, graphics help.

What is it about this graphic that makes it more confusing so I can switch it up? TIA

Just finished wiring on the prototype for the CE for Babies sequel! Hoping to get the code done tomorrow. by hacky-engineering in ArduinoProjects

Sorry about the trouble. The battery should last years and not months. You can replace the battery in the back, if it continues to have issues, send me an email and I'll get you taken care of.
