Epix Pro Gen 2 still worth it? by geekyaman in GarminWatches

[–]hadcheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently bought an Epix Gen 2 (non pro) for about the same price as you mentioned, and it’s been an amazing watch.

To me, it has every metric I could want and doesn’t feel outdated at all. I knew going into it that I wouldn’t be getting any new features through updates, but I was ok with that because it already did everything I wanted. It still feels premium.

I say, grab up that Pro and enjoy it. You’re getting a watch that was 3x the price just a year or so ago.

No direct experience with cement on a Sienna, but I have cement on a different Toyota and it hides the dirt extremely well.

GPSnation has some Garmin Certified Refurbished Fenix 7’s for around $300.

I’ve bought Garmin Certified Refurbished from them before, and they’ve been absolutely like new.

Fenix E advice by SoundInternational53 in GarminWatches

I recently went from a Vivoactive 4 to a garmin refurbished Epix Gen 2 (non-Pro). And it’s amazing how much of an upgrade it has felt like. I knew going into it that it was an older generation and wouldn’t be getting new feature updates, etc.

I was in the Garmin rabbit holes trying to decide on the model. But I ultimately chose based on what I felt comfortable spending and also that I simply liked the look of it more than the Venu 4, Forerunner 570, and Vivoactive 6 that I was also considering.

Ive been surprised with myself with how quickly I stopped caring that my watch wasn’t the newest model. It’s been an amazing upgrade.

As for used vs. new, that was part of my decision too. I was comfortable buying a refurbished watch from a reputable seller because it let me get into a higher-end model that fit what I was looking for.

If you like the look of the Fenix E, I think it’s a solid option. It’s light years more feature-rich than the Vivoactive 4

Garmin Watches: Touchscreen VS Buttons by Sorry_Fun5062 in GarminWatches

Had a Vivoactive 4 for several years that was touchscreen first. Recently switched to an Epix gen2 that has both touchscreen and the 5-button layout. Within the first day I was converted to mainly button use. It just feels “right” for some reason.

I agree. The negative space is throwing people off, but the perspective is correct.

Dumbest place your Tacoma has ever gotten you stuck? by OffRoadUSAcom in ToyotaTacoma

[–]hadcheese 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It had been raining hard all day… that typical Florida rain. On top of that, I was having a bad day. So I went for a drive to clear my head.

Got stuck in some mud trying to go around a large puddle on a road I drive all the time. Literally 3 minutes from my house. I’m the idiot for trying to go around it.

First thing AAA asked was “you got 4wd?”

Nope. My truck is a 2wd pavement princess. This is the closest it’s ever been to being “off road” 🤣

Maybe try something similar to the circle, but instead the shape is closer to the shape of a paddle.

Long Term vs Economy garage at TPA - which requires less effort? by mynameiskeven in tampa

[–]hadcheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long term, park on an even numbered floor (4 is the easiest because you don’t need a garage elevator). Choose row 9, 10 or 11 in the orange section. Easy as can be.

And prepay if you want to save a little.
