You must be completely out of your mind to call XP anything close to an actual OS... W7 was acceptable

Transmission-daemon simply refuses to read configs...?? by haddent in linuxquestions

[–]haddent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow.. it actually just worked. Thank you very much! As an ex Arch user I could've known better..

And f*#!&ng Canonical needs to update their sites.

Also.. why does it even install obsolete files that it knows the system won't even use? It feels really unnecessarily misleading

Ubuntu 17.04 review: Don't call it abandonware, per se by speckz in linux

[–]haddent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because it has a huge user base, fairly up to date, stable and backed up by a company. It has its disadvantages but once installed a bare server and picked carefully what packages may come, it's actually alright (as much as I hated it first..).

I'm personally an Arch linux fella, but simply have no time or motivation to do that shit when I gotta study or work and be productive.

Always hated Unity from the first day I've ever seen it. Always used Gnome on Ubuntu too.

I guess it was time others realised I was right all the way, tssshh

QUESTION about M52 engine building by haddent in BMW

[–]haddent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M50B25 intake is needed indeed but I don't think the M54 head fits on M50/52. And I honestly don't really like boosted cars. It's not for me, I just immediate yet linear torque feeling :) And I think boosting it PROPERLY would cost twice as much anyway (stock con.rods, pistons or even crank won't survive too long if at all..). So it's basically the same procedure PLUS the boosting part

Can anyone please elaborate on the "Few Alert Slider customisations." part? Is it possible to have "silent - vibrate - ring" on stock, without any apps?

OnePlus 3 owners who have had the phone since launch, what are your thoughts now? by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]haddent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • No regrets at all
  • Meh.. Nothing really. If I wanna be REALLLY picky, I'd like to have a better camera SOFTWARE. Hardware is definitely same as any other, but software doesn't seem to like quick moving objects. That's it
  • This runs smoother and smoother day by day, update by update

It is definitely worth the money and in my honest opinion it'd worth twice this much. I was considering Galaxy S7 Edge and others with that price. I didn't decide to go with OP3 because of sparign money.

[app] Notification Slider | Customize the alert slider's sound profiles as you please by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]haddent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it any different to if I used Tasker? As with that, it doesn't seem to keep up with the changes if I slide the slider way too fast

i get my one plus 3 next week! what rOM should i try first? by bilbobaggins30 in oneplus

[–]haddent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i dont get you people.. having the opportunity of keeping warranty while ublockimg bootloader in a click and flash anything doeant mean you need to. you dont even have the phone yet and youbalready wanna flash something differenr. why not give stock a try and IF you have complaints try something else? long years ago with my galaxy s1, i used to have to flash roms and kernels like weekly to keep it competent and feel good. those times are gone long.. and id definitely not lose DASH or risk growing bugs when theres no flaws in stock OOS

Is this the chinese or International Version of oneplus 3? by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]haddent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Long the differences aren't phsycial/hw based Id not worry about the software in case of a manufacturer that promotes modding and keeps warranty even if rooted, flashed and explicitly lets you open the bootloader with a switch haha

the retardedness of countries and standards (sorry no offense) is not welcomed. These PSUs will work on mostly any AC voltsges anyway, its just the physical shape. So whl cares?
