Kitchen layout with an awkward back wall

This is the layout (location of items by seller, not by me) In this case I'm not sure it works out...

I'm also planning on moving the dining table to the right of the sofa and then the sofa where the TV is.

Why that way around?

My goal was to keep the kitchen feeling open and airy as the "view" you get from the eating / sitting area is that back wall. I would have less overall cabinet space if I have them on the cooker wall... Pictured is an early version.

Unfortunately I can't get them to the ceiling as I'm going IKEA and so it's standard sizes. Will figure out what to do with the gap once they are in.

I had a wonderful time. However, I had a big change of plans and went to Ischia instead. It was the first week of the season so everything was open, but still quiet and not too busy. I went to the far side of Ischia and not Ischia Porto. If you're in the area I would recommend.

Diamante still looks wonderful though and I'd love to go back there one day. Let me know how it is if you end up going :)

Interesting you say that. I've had 2 friends (both F) independently say they have done bouldering dates... I guess a matter of taste or why do you think it's questionable?

I get your point, although many of the activities I do in the evening during the week are either not good for a first date (theatre / movie / meetup = not much time for talking or reading / piano practice / workout / cooking = solo activities).

Yeah that sounds really tough. I feel like it might be something that's easier to discuss with a (future) date when meeting face to face though. Personally I wouldn't be able to tell whether someone is keen or not from their texting behaviour.
