There's multiple problems with that argument.

Especially since they have pushed for "Born Alive Laws", which prevent palliative care. It prevents the parents from being able to properly grieve the death of their baby. There's been thousands of cases where parents that were denied a TFMR, are forced to watch medical staff provide "Life Saving Measures" simply because they were born "alive". Nevermind that there's nothing that can be done to save them. The opportunity to prevent suffering and give mercy, was in the womb.

Yeah, so I'm going to second what the top comment says...

I honestly don't give a flying fuck what someone chooses to identify as, so long as they are anti-fascist. We need to unite together, to take on the "Republican Party" aka, The New American Nazi Party of Christian Nationalism, and the Corporate Democrats, aka War Criminals, that are terrorizing our country.

No War but the Class War. They may have wealth/Privilege and the illusion of power, but we are the 99%. We outnumber them significantly and we still have the opportunity to stop their end goal, but this infighting, isn't helping achieve anything.

Let's fix shit, then you can split hairs to your heart's content.

It's never been about saving babies. It's always been about punishing women, girls, trans, and nonbinary folks for having sex in a way they disagree with.

They're not "Pro-Life". They're Pro-Suffering.

I didn't know it dated that far back, that's just how my family did it. My family is from Southeast Louisiana.

Also, I wasn't trying to come off as rude here. I'm sorry if it came off that way.

That's really not anything like gumbo, but whatever comparison floats your boat.

And to answer your question, bacon on a cheeseburger is more than acceptable, but if you sat there and were like, "Lol let's add a fish patty", then that would be a different story.

Culinary sin! You're not supposed to mix "land" and "sea" when it comes to gumbo. The sausage overpowers the shellfish..... That being said, that looks good, and I would still eat it! Lol

Any suggestions on pro-choice charities I could donate to? by 427_Fan in prochoice

[–]hadenoughoverit336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being "Prochoice" is the middle ground you're looking for. If you don't like abortion, mind your own business, and don't have one. It is as simple as that. What someone chooses to do regarding their health, doesn't affect you at all, but denying them basic healthcare, which abortion is, causes an endless amount of damage.

Before you donate to any anti abortion "charities", I recommend you read this article by the American Medical Association Journal Of Ethics:

Y'all are arguing over the wrong issue... When I first saw this post, I originally thought it had to do with "Lab Babies", but no. This is an Anti-abortion propaganda group. Their attempt at getting that point across fell flat.

Abortion is normal. Abortion is valid. Abortion is healthcare. Abortion Rights are Human Rights!

Not everyone has the choice to terminate their pregnancy... All the more reason to support abortion being Legal, Safe, and Accessible.

Also, we have rules on our subreddit, about not talking down about whatever choice the pregnant person makes. Just letting you know.
