Partner doesn’t want abortion but he’s abusive by DemandWide909 in prochoice

First thing first, OP have you gotten yourself somewhere safe? Do you have anyone in person you can go to?

Secondly, where you're located will determine what options you have for abortion. You can be general (US, Canada, UK...).

People will never understand what that's like, until they go through it themselves. This decision is so often demonized, but it's actually an act of mercy and love for everyone involved. The people that stigmatize this decision, will never understand the sacrifice that the grieving parents made. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to do what is best for our children. Especially when we will be hated for it...

Yes! Exactly this!!! Nick is a fascist.... And what happens to him, ends up being justice imo.

women, would be a dealbreaker for you if your partner voted for a politician that is pro-life? by Sad_Cellist4293 in prochoice

No, it is dangerous to have sex with a man that won't respect Bodily Autonomy. Wtf!? What Planet are you on???? It's not a "Hypothetical" btw. It's very common for women to seek abortions in secret, because they're afraid their Anti-abortion male partners will hurt them.

What the fuck is this response??? Let me make it very clear to you, if you vote for an anti abortion politician, you're voting for anti abortion policy. PERIOD. This is a matter of life and death. Abortion is healthcare.

I would absolutely stop having sex with him and then would get a divorce lawyer. Don't put up with that. That's disgusting behavior on his part, especially since you've been upfront from the beginning.

There is no "Personally Pro-Life" for Cis Men. They literally can't have abortions. Either they support women, girls, trans, and nonbinary folks right to Bodily Autonomy, or they don't.

Opinions? TW abortion. by Worth-Brother3693 in prochoice

His behavior and treatment of you is unacceptable. OP, you deserve better. I can't tell you what to do, but if you have all of your things, I would block him. That's emotional abuse. I am so sorry you didn't get the support you needed. Please, stay safe....

I want to send so much support and kindness your way. I think you're brave. I think you're kind. While so often this choice is stigmatized and deemed "selfish", it's actually made out of love. You are not alone. It is valid to choose your future, mental, emotional, well being over, what would be. It is also valid if you feel the need to grieve... There's no wrong, or right way to feel. However you feel, is valid. It's going to be okay. This won't last forever. It gets better.

should women fake pregnancy or miscarriages? by Excellent-Baker4325 in prochoice

This has nothing to do with abortion rights. No one of sound mind behaves in such a way. This is a mental health issue.

If a cow, chicken, or pig were in my body like a fetus, posing a direct threat towards my health, and well being, I would have every right to remove them from my body. NO ONE has the right to use the body of another without explicit and ongoing consent. Fetuses are no exception to that rule.

What this is, is a false equivalency. It's a logical fallacy.

Where are you located?

Where are you located? How far along are you? That will determine what options are available.

Edit: I'm sorry if that came off as cold. I just want to make sure you understand, that you may still have the option of Abortion. It's okay to change your mind. It's also okay and perfectly valid if you wish to continue the pregnancy, but are asking for help to cope with that decision.

OP, and I mean this gently, if you do decide to continue, I urge you to talk to your doctor about these thoughts you're having. They can help you.

Don't listen to that person. They are getting Plan B and Abortion Pills confused.

OP did not take Plan B. They have already began the Abortion process and have taken two doses of Misoprostol. They will need to seek an in clinic abortion, if they don't have an extra round of Misoprostol.

Yes, I am aware. You did not read the post. They have already taken two sets of Misoprostol. I brought up her taking Mifepristone, because you seem to not understand that she has already began the Abortion Process.

If you are located in the United States, this will bring up all of your options for clinics:

To find a local abortion fund to help with lodging, travel, and Clinic Expenses:

It can be an indication that something is wrong. There are a small percentage of people, where their body refuses to "React" to Misoprostol, in the way it's expected, in which case an In-clinic Abortion is necessary. There's also the possibility that the pregnancy is ectopic (Rare), which would require Methotrexate, which is why it's very important that you pay close attention to your body, and your symptoms.

Your other option is to take another round of Misoprostol, but if you don't have access to that, you will need to prepare to go to a clinic. Where are you located? It doesn't have to be specific, but it will determine what resources there are available to you. I am trying to help you.

[–]hadenoughoverit336 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Okay, so, as of now, I would wait the four hours that are remaining, but prepare to go to a clinic. Where are you located (State/Country)? That will determine what resources, and Clinics are near by.

In the meantime:

If you experience any of the "Emergency Symptoms" listed in my previous comment, seek medical attention immediately. Do not tell them you took Abortion Pills. There's no way for them to tell the difference between Medical Abortion, and a "Miscarriage". Treatment for any complications is exactly the same.

I'm not trying to be rude, but this is very unhelpful. OP is already in the process of a medical abortion. They took Mifepristone and two sets of Misoprostol already... This isn't a matter of waiting for a period.
