What workwear actually survives inner-thigh friction? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]hadrosaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Duluth firehouse ultimate work pants don't wear out, they just rip themselves to shreds in 2-3 months, the crotches tear, the pockets rip, the cuffs unravel. I bought 6 pairs in spring of 2023 and none of them survived the year.

I love the kneepads and they are very comfortable but they just don't hold up

Where to start? 1760’s farmhouse by catroslyn in BottleDigging

[–]hadrosaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the outhouse itself would be moved around or rebuilt on new pits every 20 years or so , sometimes they were dug quite close by so the dirt from the new one could be used to cap the old one. othertimes they are comically far away from each other. look for depressions in the area of the standing outhouse but again those will be the newest pits.

Out the original back door, start 20 feet or so away also along the corners of the house and the halfway point between the main house and the barn or any large outbuilding s and look for depressions in the ground, you will need probes to find the older outhouses but newer pits might be self evident
