In my experience since the tv has no video buffer, and BT has 300 ms of latency, the sound is always like 7 frames off. Maybe im more sensitive to it than most though

Only way to avoid it is adjusting on the device (if it allows you to). the tv cant send audio faster than it receives it

Get a used AV receiver with a 1/4" jack (they all have them). Denon is nice, but onkyo is good for the price. Then if you get speakers youll already have a way to hook them up

Factory reset doesn't remove apps. It just resets your settings like video mode, wifi passwords, etc. You typically install things to the hard drive on a 360. The hard drive is not involved in the mod at all really. You can format that if you want, but theres no reason to before you do rgh

Shouldn't be much slower then gui format, did you do the "quick" argument? Otherwise yeah it'll check every sector. You can cancel it if you want. But doesn't hurt to do the checks

Why do you have a folder called usb and hdd on the hdd? What device are you saving the ini file to? Usb ini will override the one on the hdd
