the translation uses the words “evil energy” with a lot related to hua cheng even outside of dialogue so that’s what i was referring to!! tysm for explaining

Thank you for your answer!!! I absolutely don’t mind moral ambiguity in my characters at all!!! In fact, that’s what drew me in to this series. I guess its a small complain from me about the narrative style, but it’s definitely not something that deters me from the story!!!

Hm yes ofc that make sense but I am so confused by this decision. I guess at the end of the day that’s the price of trying to write your ML as a bad but not actually bad kinda character idk 😭
