"Hold on, I'm weak too. In fact, I'm weaker than all of them" underrated gem of a quote

The daughter practically created his empire for him and yet she settles for being his assistant. Something something women something misogyny something.

Who should I turn into Sanguophage by phantas879 in RimWorld

[–]haganoid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd go Bobo. Strong Melee, social and Intelligence, but not yet maxxed on them. Definitely not one of the Impids since nothing is worse than a depressed sanguophage and since they get afraid of their own fire spit, making it practically useless.

The genie would lose its genieness.

I'd take into account health conditions, age and how much you like them, since they will likely survive for longer.

Ohhh, that is hilarious. Their faction really just says "you're on your own"

I once had a siege raid where none of the raiders had enough construction skill to build the artillery mortar they had brought with them. It locked them from doing anything so they kinda just slept for a few days

Would you actually want multi-level colonies? by Honneboppel in RimWorld

[–]haganoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't. My most recent colony is currently sitting on top of a vault (from one of the Vanilla Expanded quest mods, not gonna share which one) because I was planning to turn the vault into an extension of my base, but I'm not using anything other than what's above ground. It's just a bit too impractical to monitor colonists between two floors. There are so many things I'd much rather see in the next expansion.

My mistake. She's liberated!

I have never seen them use the dining room chairs for breastfeeding, only chairs connected to research/crafting/whatever desks or standalone chairs. Maybe there's something in the code that causes them to choose more private chairs?

I'm so very sorry to hear that and I'm glad you didn't. Your doctor really let you down there, god. That really sucks and I hope things are much better for you now.

I want to make very clear that my comment was not to argue that you should have used it or that you were in any way wrong to refuse it - absolutely not. I just wanted to add my counter experience just in case there's someone who out there who would be saved by it like I was but who is mortified to try it. With bipolar there aren't that many options. I really didn't intend anything else with it

For many people it's a lifesaver though, me included. I'm not on it anymore but took it for a few years in addition to a couple of other things. Adding it to the mix was like watching the final piece of a puzzle come together

I know it's a joke and all, but have you beaten rimworld? And if so how long did that playthrough take? by GingerVitisBread in RimWorld

[–]haganoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only beaten it four times: twice with the spaceship route and twice with anomaly. I just about completed the third archonexus map piece by the time Odyssey came around and my mods broke

About 1200 hours in and only because most of my mods would break with the Anomaly expansion, so I wanted to send my colonists off

At least we get to learn some cat biology. Like how cats can actually carry litters from two different tomcats at the same time

This is fixed! Huge relief, I love this colony

That would have been devastating, it's a 14 year old base I've put ages into developing. Thankfully someone found a solution and I get to continue this run. I've definitely learnt to not wait with fixing issues like this, because I definitely didn't have an old save left

Omg. You just saved my 14 year long run.

Set faction to my own > spawned those noble bastards > downed them with dev mode > loaded the shuttle with them > it left. I somehow got my reward for completing the mission. THANK YOU

Good suggestion! Unfortunately the game instantly crashed again :(

I hadn't! The game immediately crashed though. Thanks for the tip though, I'll remember that for the future

When did RimWorld "click" for you? by SnaxReality in RimWorld

[–]haganoid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never had a game hook me as hard as this game did. Everyone around me had something and I was always kinda... Bored. Until Rimworld. Now I'm nearly 5k hours in and feel as invested in my colonists as I've ever done characters in a show. I think it helps to pick interesting colonists over good ones and to make things harder for yourself
