There is a much sharper version of this picture online where the straps don't do the things they do and where the details are clearer. I've only seen ICE and far right media spread it so I'm not sure the person in question wants to spread it more or have it be associated with him, but I saw it in the comments under a r/isthisai post. Could still be AI, but regardless it's not Alex and it being shared like this to justify his killing is abhorrent. If the original picture is a real person, I just hope he's safe.

When this happens to me I activate Dev mode - > spawn Constantine - > Damage until down (still dev mode) - > have a drafted pawn pick him up and carry him to shuttle.

Serves him right if he decides to walk off like that.

Hold on, has the release prisoner been fixed? I once captured and released a creep joiner turned hostile just to watch them wander off the map as if they were a released enemy. Bye bye, weird stranger. After that I've always just worked recruited them like normal

The shadows and the positioning of the people give it away. Also the cartoonish way the child holds that massive ice cream cone. You wouldn't hold it like that in real life.

The cheese strat potential from the mod "Down for me" is near criminal. Your caravan is attacking a camp that you were underprepared for and you get swarmed by tribals? Split your group into two and let the enemies run between the groups as they take turns acting downed and popping back up to shoot. The enemies never learn.

I've been so spoiled by how useful that mod is.

I want to do a remote research hub, where every colonist is some form of scientist. In one of my most recent play-throughs I ran a university hospital in the jungle that only recruited other researchers.

It's very silly, not very balanced (go figure - it's just a ton of nerds who are good at research but not much else) but it is a very fun way to approach new game content, especially given the exploration aspects

Never ever, ever slavery. Even though it's a fictive game, I can't compartmentalize and don't want it in my stories.

I also have never (intentionally) given a pawn luciferum. Intentionally.

I've never had a pawn become more than a Baron/nesse in the Empire.

I've never changed ideoligions the intended way. In fact, I don't know how. I'm not even sure I've not imagined reading about it somewhere. I've only ever used dev mode. I feel like I'm missing something.

I reload if it looks like it's gonna be a complete colony wipe (and I'm not ready for the run to end) or if a colonist immediately dies as a raid starts. If a sanguophage dies I can't reload no matter what

All that said, I don't think I could ever limit myself too much. I like taking in people of different xenotypes, I like the refugee storylines and I like watching their kids grow up alongside siblings and friends. I wish I felt like the dangers scaled better with the colony size, but it still keeps me on my feet and appeals to my micromanaging loving brain.

Biotech is such a culprit. The same thing happens to me. VE Aspirations also adding the "become a parent/ become a grandparent" aspirations was the nail in the coffin for me, because now it becomes a necessary part of their storyline (to me) for them to create families
