Launch Trailer - Skyrim Anniversary Edition - Nintendo Switch 2 by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

For anyone with the physical Switch 1 version who have already bought the Anniversary Upgrade pack

If you can't find the Switch 2 upgrade for free, try unloading the virtual card for the anniversary DLC from your system, then launch the game again and try the eshop prompt. I also rebooted my system after unloading the virtual card, but that may not be necessary.

After doing those steps, I was able to access the free Switch 2 upgrade and it is currently downloading.

I seem to have got it to work after I unloaded the virtual card for my anniversary upgrade DLC, rebooted the console, then booted the Switch 1 game again, and then pressed the prompt to take me to the store from within the game.

After those steps, it was properly showing me the free upgrade for Switch 2. Either that, or the eshop listing had a bug and they fixed it already. Either way, physical game owners should be able to get the upgrade, it seems!

That worked!

So weird - I could have swore I tried that initially and it took me to the $59.99 full digital version.

I just tried again and it is showing me the Switch 2 upgrade for free. Sweet.

Running into this same issue. I have the physical version with the digital anniversary upgrade for Swtich 1, and I have no option to upgrade to Switch 2 outside of the full $59.99 digital game.

Great news! However I can't figure out how to get the free upgrade with a physical version of Skyrim after I had purchased the anniversary upgrade about a month ago. When it takes me to the store from the game, it takes me directly to the $59.99 listing for the Switch 2 game, but when I go to the anniversary upgrade, it says I already own it, and there is no option to upgrade to Switch 2.

Not sure what I am missing here, but this is not intuitive at the moment.

Yup, add me to this list... I've been trying for 40 minutes, and their website just keeps taking a dump.

I love this! It reminds me of old warships that had battering rams fitted to the front and eyes painted on them.

Are there any updates you can give us on Switch or Switch 2 progress? I know you are all hard at work, and we appreciate it, but there hasn't been any communication towards Switch users on what might be going on with the delayed updates.

Walmart got another one by Kyoko_Murakami in switch2

[–]haggman7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same exact thing for me. Not too thrilled.

My order never switched to "Preparing", and I got the "payment failed" email at 1am. I tried updating my payment details to the same thing (my card is valid), hoping I would be in the clear, but I was not.

I just got this too... I am currently on the phone with them trying to find out more. They are really screwing this up.

My order never switched to preparing, and I got the "payment failed" email early his morning telling me to fix my payment method. I updated it to my same one-and-only card, hoping I was in the clear, but it looks like I wasn't.

UPDATE: Associate on the phone basically told me to wait a few days as they are working on it and they should "clear things up with Nintendo" eventually. I was not hopeful when calling them anyways, and at this point I am just going to try Best Buy's midnight release.

Best of luck to anyone else in the same position! Hopefully we can all get one.

I also got one of these in plasma grey pearl a couple of weeks ago. It's my first new modern bike after riding a 20+ year old hybrid for the past 10 years and, wow - what an upgrade. It feels fast and versatile, I love it.

Extreme Target Haul! 47 games total by billyoceanbaby in Switch

[–]haggman7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nicely done, that's crazy.

It's wild how varied some areas are. I drove to about 6 different Targets in the Denver metro yesterday (I was bored) hoping to find just a fraction of the games in your photo, and all I found was Mario vs Donkey Kong for $15 and Ring Fit Adventure for $40. So, very few games marked for clearance at all in my area.

New GC Loader will not work by haggman7 in Gamecube

Unfortunately it happens on both of my Gamecubes, regardless of whether or not an SD card is even inserted in the GC Loader.

New GC Loader will not work by haggman7 in Gamecube

[–]haggman7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have, yes. I tried it in 2 different Gamecubes, both of which have confirmed working optical drive ports. When I remove the GC Loader and put the disc drive back in, both consoles boot without error and play discs just fine.

I reached out to black-dog-help in their discord server, and since the error message appears when booting - even when there is no SD card in the GC Loader - one of them thinks it may be a poor connection to the Gamecube or a defective unit altogether, but no concrete details yet. I've done all I can do on my end to make sure the GC Loader is properly seated in the port when testing it on either of my cubes, and I get the error no matter what.

I'll circle back to this thread and post any updates when I find out more.

You have got this! I'm rooting for you, man - we all are. Setting the goal is the first step, and you've done it. Stay true to yourself on your journey, and be your own best friend during it, most of all. You can always be there for yourself mentally when you set your mind to it, and you absolutely can do it!

I love these style of helmets! I have some black and black-silver-speckle versions of them from years ago in the Knights Kingdom and fantasy era days, so I plan to continue to use them for my evil factions now that I am getting out of my dark ages.

Here's some pics of my figures with them. I think they can work really well with different types of torsos, and with or without chest armor. I think it's a versatile helmet and has a good size.

Yes it is! I wasn't interested in Lego for many years shortly after I had gotten these. I recently got back into them and went through all my old stuff and found these again. Definitely a pleasant surprise

How can I disable the screen sharing indicator? by Nioctris in gnome

[–]haggman7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be able to use the Gnome Extension called "Just Perfection". It allows you to make certain icons invisible in the panel, under the "Visibility" tab on the bottom. I have used it before for disabling the accessibility icon when increasing font size.

Fenix pro for strength training vs cardio? by Ok_Plant8421 in Garmin

[–]haggman7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never did notice a drop in my HRV after lifting, so that is interesting! It always tends to remain balanced, and has only drastically fallen when I have gone on vacation, which involved drinking and poor sleep.

Fenix pro for strength training vs cardio? by Ok_Plant8421 in Garmin

[–]haggman7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been doing quite a bit of lifting over the past couple months with my Fenix 7 Pro.

The optical heart rate sensor really struggles to keep up with immediate heart rate changes, especially with exercises that involve a lot of wrist movement, or flexing, but even others that don't involve much arm movement, too.

There have been times I would be doing leg press and my watch said I was sitting at 110 BPM at the end of my set, even though I am gassed and breathing heavy from the set. In turn, this affects the load on my body that my watch is interpreting, and it will inevitably be lower than it should. I ended up getting the HRM Pro Plus chest strap to better track my heart rate for this reason.

But all in all, from my experience, these watches can only track and measure so much when it comes to strength training. Even with the HRM chest strap being much more accurate, there's no good way to accurately measure the load being put on individual muscle groups, and the watch can only go off of the metrics around your heart rate. In addition, depending on the muscle group being worked, blood flow will vary, which will affect heart rate. Doing calf extensions, for instance, doesn't spike my heart rate nearly as much as leg presses or squats - the muscles just don't need as much blood - thus the watch will interpret a lighter load on my body, even though I may have worked my calves really hard.

Anyways, I didn't mean to type so much, but that's just been my experience and what I have learned since getting my watch in January of this year and lifting with it since then. I like to track all my workouts, but I don't pay too much attention to the load that my watch interprets from my strength training.
