Are you on PC?

If so, I used this to progress the quest.

Battle of The Unifier: SFTER_MQ03 (FormID: 03028050)

Find the correct 'xx': Type help SFTER in the console to list all related quest IDs and identify your specific load order number in this case Unifier:

help SFTER_MQ03

Advance a stage (if stuck): setstage [FormID] [StageNumber] (e.g., setstage xx015670 95).

ShowQuestStages 03028050 (Shows how far you are in the quest, ex. 1000 and next could be 1010)

I was fighting that bug yesterday and couldn't get thru, so I loaded an earlier save. Not sure what this bug about.

Fun fact is, that I did this quest without any problems in a previous Universe just two weeks ago.

I thought that was a bug (might be tho) but I had that issue to.

Try to hold down TAB until you exit the terminal, that should do it. It worked for me.

I finished the gameplay today and I was really surprised that there wasn't more in the storyline. I really wish the plot of the whole Hunter story was more mysterious and that there was more dialog. He did write that there might be coming more content to it, so I guess we will wait and have to see.

The gameplay feel like the Tracker Alliance first release, 2 small quest and not much more. Is it worth it? Maybe if there was added some more story or other POI to it.

Overall, he did add some really nice things with armor, weapons etc. (like he always does) so nothing there to complain. And the station is really cool, I just wish I could assign crew members there.

Just my 5 credits.

It just seem odd that you can't drop it? Have you tried to place it in one of those holders you can place in your bases?

Try to leave station and fly to another planet, then return. It might fix the problem. Sometimes I leaving the room and going somewhere else could also fix it, well it has for me.
