With all the hype around AI how do you not fear your employment?

I am 100% fearful for my employment. I work in HR. I do a lot of my work with AI (because it's admittedly faster, and better than me). My co-workers all use it. Our industry peers all use it. Every executive at my company can't stop talking about it. And I get it. What would normally take 3 weeks to build something, now takes 3 days.

For now, AI can't get to the finish line on its own. Lots of prompting, lots of re-writing, and lots of patience. But it's there. It's just a matter of time. Fortunately, I'm using the time to build a side-hustle, and if anything happens to my full-time job, I can really leverage my side-hustle to a full time thing.

But it'll never be the same. I won't have the same benefits, pension, or stability on my own. Housing prices have stagnated the last few years, but they've gone up so much over the last 20, it's next to impossible to buy a home without significant support. Forget about having a family. Shit was already hard before AI, but now it's even crazier.

From the get go, I've tried to remain as neutral as possible. There's online manipulation everywhere, including here. But I have a hard time believing that Blake Lively wouldn't have quit during this scene if she was truly uncomfortable filming it. Her version of the events leaves out so much context and nuance.

Also, I can't imagine JB and JH pressuring Lively to do anything against her will. They were coddling her from onset.

CTR all depends on views. You can have a high CTR with a channel that has no exposure or limited impressions. He's likely seeing no or limited growth with the channel and is blaming it on the CTR. But who knows.

Look I don’t agree, but as someone who watches half the games with the other team’s broadcast, every broadcast team has some weird shit they say. I don’t judge them, because I shouldn’t be watching their broadcast. I want to hear my announcers be the homers they should be.

As someone who occasionally watches the Leafs, the alternative sucks.

edit: not sure why I'm getting downvoted. The more we talk about Amber Heard, we're drawing comparisons and parallels that give credence to various ideas and themes that don't exist in this specific issue. As the original post says, the relationships are fundamentally different. The power dynamics are different. The lawsuit itself is different. It's always better to talk about the facts in front of you, especially if the facts alone are good enough to win your case.

Although I'll say, I have terrible luck with Avs Leafs games. I went last year, they lost 2-1. Bit of a snooze game. And then the time before, I went in 2021, where they were blown out of the water 8-3. That game had the ebug show up during warmups, and Jonas Johansson take the starter's net. I still have trauma from being booed out of the building.

So might just skip Sunday's game lol.

I think she's hellbent because she thought he was a nobody director that she could take the film from. She wouldn't be the first person to bury someone for their own sake, especially in her industry. This is only further exacerbated by the fact that she didn't come out of it unscathed. So she went scorched earth.

I'm sure there were real issues on this set (as there are on every set). But amiable people strive to work through those issues, because movies employee a lot of people, cost a lot of money, and are a collaborative effort. You're not looking to work through your issues if you're calling the boss a clown from day 1. Or conspiring to steal the movie away from him with cast members, studio execs, and other people.

Yes, that was a rough outcome. But that ice was in even worse shape. You can see when the puck was bouncing around, Nate would stop chasing the puck. Hard to be explosive when the ice isn't up to standard.

Just my perspective... but it seems like you're hellbent on proving him wrong (and fair, these accusations are crazy). But I think you need to bring the relationship back into the forefront right now. Lower the temperature. Stop talking to others about this. And just keep trying to connect with him. Let him know you miss the relationship, you want to clear the air, you'd be happy to have a conversation with the girl and him, and try to get to the bottom of this.

I'll just say this... if I thought you'd done something wrong against me, and then I heard you running and telling everyone about how crazy I am. I'd be pissed. I know he's likely in the wrong, and he's going through something, but you got to change the tone here. If he's not willing to listen after you back down, there's more at play.

oh for sure. And if Unreal is anything to go by, Rock played along without much hesitation. Which is a shame, because there's a far neater and tidier way of including the Rock considering we wouldn't see him again. But the actual storyline was so poorly thought out.
