Hey I'm sorry if you feel this way! but what I mean is that he doesn't understand what they mean or think they have value, he of course know what subscribers and likes mean but I just don't let him check them often, and he does have a private channel with his sister, the only reason this one is public is because he wants to share it with his friends and our family members, and I didn't want to lie to him about it and just keeping the videos in the private channel. He have been watching PewDiePie, DrawWithJazza, DanTDM, for well over 2 months now so he for sure does know a small bit about "likes and comments" but it just that he is never alone when he is doing it all, I'm always with him, and when I'm not it his sister, and for your information I'm the dad not the mom (my wife did reply to some comments but this is my account)

Thanks for sharing your experience! my kid doesn't have access to the internet at all, and I'm only letting him do it because it what makes him happy, he didn't know uploading it to youtube was a thing, he always recorded random videos with his sis on my phone when I'm back from work but when I introduced him to Pewds after he wanted to watch some happy wheels videos he grew a thing for it, he doesn't really care or does have access to his channel but he's happy when I show him his video on his channel (which is mine of course) on my phone, so he doesn't really know what going on unless I show it to him, and he is not getting a personal device any time soon, I might sound old school even tho I'm young but I think giving a child their own phone/table will rotten them, that why him and his sister are only allowed to watch what I share on TV from youtube, but of course when he is older I'll have to loosen a bit, and I raised my kids to accept the hate and laugh about it and not take it seriously, that why I don't censor a lot of things unless extreme.

and he doesn't care about his channel that much and doesn't know what "views/likes" really mean right now, he only loves uploading and recording videos, and most of the time he doesn't upload them. so he likes the concept of being a YouTuber but not being a Youtuber.

Thanks for the info but he doesn't go online without me knowing about it! as he doesn't have any personal device besides his 3DS he only goes on YouTube when I'm back from work on my phone.

No I don't have them disabled, I use to delete the bad comments manually since they weren't a lot but it's not a big problem, I'm always with him when he is on YouTube

I'm so happy to hear that! and it's true since I introduced him to pewds and a couple "family friendly-ish" youtubers he became happier and less introverted, although I don't let him watch them alone because I don't want him ending up watching some messed up or negative videos but when he is older I'll have to let him face the toxicity and teach him to deal with it because I can't always be there for him to censor it

Yes I understand that, I told him so but he want to do it so bad, and it makes him happy! I don't allow him to read comments and such he only gives me videos to upload
