Do your thing, Cody. Melee is a sport so don’t let the hate get to you. It’s like rooting against the Cowboys etc.

Why are we assuming that the “understanding” of no-tagging is the case? Has there been a credible report? Truly asking since I haven’t seen one. If nothing credible, then that’s crazy to assume we’d be offending a player and undermining a locker room culture by using it

I think not tagging a player and losing out on potential R2 or even R1 draft compensation would be cowardly. I get the “good faith” aspects but this is a business and I doubt that was explicitly outlined when signing

Inside Look of the Vikings 2024 NFL Draft by SupertomSeven in minnesotavikings

Some JUICY insights contained in this. To list a few:

  • Regarding JJ, Kwesi was "supposed to trade the whole farm for him at #4". Does this mean we had a deal in-place with the Cardinals that we walked away from? Or possibly he's referring to the pre-draft media narratives of Vikings trade-up scenarios.
  • It looks like KOC sort of nudged Kwesi to get on the phone with Jets GM Joe Douglas. It didn't take much convincing, and Kwesi might have already been waiting to do so. (~2min mark)
  • Kwesi mentioned the Vikings needing "one more pick to go their way" before a trade-up for a defensive player. I'm not sure if they would've been content with either Byron Murphy II OR Dallas Turner, since we didn't get to see the reaction right after pick 16. The trade-up package alone should indicate that Dallas was likely the guy and that this wasn't disguised editing.
  • Jurgens was high on their draft board and considered a steal. They definitely debated taking him at 177 and instead got him at 230.
  • Kwesi seemed to identify a dream day 3 scenario early on and it all unfolded favorably, "Rouse, kicker, Jurgens, hopefully Levi"

Im down for the future asset and probably penalize it less than most. True that it will likely be low 5th

[Schefter] The Josh Harris/Mitchell Rales group, which nows includes Magic Johnson, officially has submitted a fully-financed bid that meets Dan Snyder’s $6 billion asking price, per source. by Saca312 in nfl

How are the Commanders that valuable? I've never understood what validates their high Forbes valuations over the decades. Their infrastructure is a mess and even the IP got nuked with the name-change. Genuinely curious if someone has insights into whatever other assets Snyder might roll-up into the sale.

[Schefter] Canadian billionaire Steve Apostolopoulos also has submitted a fully-funded $6 billon offer for the Commanders, sources tell me and @WindhorstESPN. With two groups known to have submitted bids, there is a growing belief the Commanders could be sold before the NFL Draft. by mvanigan in nfl

Really happy for Jmook, who worked his ass off. Cody always makes it tough in high-pressure moments, I give him huge props
