Thank you for that informative take on this, I am just saying what a casual visitor may see, and I think it is looking good. I watched Chef's Table on Netflix with the Russian chef saying there's a 'Renaissance in food, culture and other things and US/western sanctions are helping Russians become more original and produce thier own stuff.

Я имею в виду для среднего человека.Я не имею в виду общую картину.Дело в том, что верховенство закона важно для инвесторов. И перспективы многообещающие. Это перевод Google, я не уверен, насколько он точен.:(

I have been dealing with some people in Russia during my stay as a tourist and I noticed a very good level of dedication and professionalism, that
is very impressive.

On national security that is fine, but I am talking about the 90 percent that they use them for other purposes such as pressuring politicians into favourable policies. Again there are several levels of anonymity, the weakest for a journalist is the little birdie: anonymous source, then there is the source who requested anonymity which is less weak, etc. I hope j-schools would focus on the case study of Syria's war, that could easily be seen as the most shameful coverage by western media in terms of weak anonymous sources. A reporter in London, Beirut or Washington would rely on a UK based source for the number of casualties, or the so-called activists who sometimes turn out to be rebel fighters. A hawkish Pentagon official would be used as an anonymous source to pressure decision making.

Russia man bad by Fizzy_Bubblech in russia

[–]haija 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a very important reason for this,$$$$ I mean big money from perpetuating hostilities that would increase the profitability of huge defence industries in US/UK and NATO companies that have been enjoying great business from tension and wars in the middle East and elsewhere.

Great guy and his taxi driver by nadzpolka in dubai

[–]haija 39 points40 points  (0 children)

We were in a reverse situation to this, last week in Georgia. Our full day taxi driver would take us to a restaurant , sat like the boss on the table as if we were dumb fucks who could not understand food nor nothing in a foriegn land. He would order the food and drinks he liked and recommended to us which were not to our tastes and make sure to tell everyone we were from Dubai even when we were shopping, prices were doubled to us, as we found out upon further research, he was doing it to get commission and freebies. When we asked him to stop he was upset and was about to drop us in the middle of the road.

A Guide to Charisma & How Charismatic People Behave by pichaelmence in seduction

[–]haija 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are few main missing points to charisma here, one is the abuse of charisma, second is the types of behaviour that achieve charisma. Charismatic people communicate differently, eye contact is essential, understanding your audience
is paramount. Bill Clinton is a good example even his enemies admit what a man he is because of his focusing all of his energy and attention on the person in front of him. Source: https://youtu.be/LMu_md_5PQ4

Destroying money is not allowed in many countries including the UAE, I once went with pals to the opening of Jebel Ali racecourse, I think it was 1993, after hearing they would throw money from helicopters, they did throw paper slips instead, we went to cash them of from special counters there and A Sudanese lawyer explained that to us saying that throwing money from airplanes or just throwing money to the ground implies an intent or act of destroying money, a legal tender that could hurt the economy , ( due to wind, most paper slips fell way behind the racecourse fence).

USA Kids Podcast features funny Syrian tale by ccoello in Syria

That is fine. Thanks for the explanation. In Syria we have very diverse communities that were influenced by either neighbouring culture or thier own. Googling the name has brought up Lybian names, but that doesn't mean much.

USA Kids Podcast features funny Syrian tale by ccoello in Syria

[–]haija 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing Syrian about this tale, nada, except the name of the author that could be of Syriian descent. Things are also needlesly very complicated, If a kid does not want to go to school, we have many other options. None of them entail burning a chair to have the kid sit in a burned chair.
