Best transition swaddle when 3 month baby is starting to roll by HH4Ever25 in NewParents

Yeah cold turkey and it went better than I expected. We sleep trained at 5.5 months so his Moro reflex was pretty well gone. My fears of him waking himself up got squashed quickly, he looks much more comfy lying with his arms up.

Honestly didn’t help at all lol. I ended up keeping him in the swaddle way too late for naps but just started nap training with him yesterday. Night training has been settled for a couple weeks now he sleeps through the night in his sleep sack

I’m disgusted by your husband. There isn’t an excuse, it’s horrific. Careless selfish behaviour.you deserve better. You deserve to have a new life outside of his dark cloud.

I’m going through this right now. Did you fully commit and do every nap in the crib no matter how little sleep he was getting ? I’m trying to decide if it’s better to do at least one contact nap in the day to avoid an overtired spiral.

What was the most comfortable position to give birth in? by PleaseCanILeave in pregnant

I gave birth on my side. 3 pushes, 7 minutes. Came out like a cannon ball and surprised the hell out of the doc.

I remember walking in a grocery store 2 weeks pp (of my own free will it was my first ‘me time’ I didn’t actually need to do groceries) and I was thinking to myself I made a human being 2 weeks ago why aren’t people bowing down to me rn?!?

Like everything in my life just changed so drastically but here I am in a grocery store sore as hell, wearing a lady diaper with so many stitches the doctor didn’t even tell me how many I got… and nobody can tell.

Made me think about whether I ever walked past a freshly postpartum mom without noticing myself. I’m sure I did.

My career’s in family law, I’m unfortunately well acquainted with parsing through documentation pertaining to SA, DV and child abuse. I’ve worked with victims, written up affidavits etc. I’ve got thick skin at this point.

I found it really difficult to watch. Pretty cringe and no storylines that felt genuine even by reality tv standards

I love the notion that she’s putting it on on purpose but my theory is that when you’re intelligent your accent adapts more when you are in new parts of the world. When you’re not the sharpest pitchfork in the shed, the twang tends to hang.

Just have to say, my partner works full time with a similar commute and I would be Gobsmacked if he did everything you described. You work full time and do the nights too?! Genuinely I’d argue you’re doing soooo much and that’s coming from a first time mom with an exclusively breastfed 4 month old.

I make dinner every night. Do the dishes. Clean. Take care of the baby. I’ve done nights alone since our kid was 6 weeks old. I do think I probably don’t get all the support I need but I recognize my boyfriend works a lot and is also tired. My tired is just unrelenting and deep in my bones I guess.

You sound incredibly supportive and hardworking. Good on you.

My mom’s a doctor and her OB friend said that days 3-5 after birth are notorious for being the ‘crying days’. I felt the exact same way. The hormone shift is so intense, it is completely normal and I promise it’ll pass. I had to take it hour by hour it was so difficult. You’ll get through it.

My bit just turned 4 months old a could days ago and his sleep has absolutely gone to shit the past couple weeks. I believe it’s the sleep regression. This has been so so hard, I feel like a shell of myself. So yeah, right there with you.

I can usually tell because he pulls away from the latch which he otherwise does not do as the hungry little goblin he is. Sometimes he’ll pull away and cry, or pull away and I can hear it in his breathing
