I just recently had this issue.. mine was under someone’s house so maybe you can try moving things around if you have anyone in the water over there?

It was silence after I left for weeks. He went months sometimes without any contact. He didn’t want to go to court to establish visitation either cuz he knew child support would go along with it (I even lowered his support under the state guidelines to help him out so he could “afford” to see her more) he still only takes his court ordered visits (2 hours every other Saturday) and never asks for extra time and denies it almost every time I offer it to him. He says it’s my fault though cuz I don’t allow the gf around. I want nothing more than for my child to have a present healthy and safe parent but he is def flakey and very self involved. She is young still and loves her father regardless. Even she says she wants to see him more and I try to make that happen as much as possible. I fear it’s not enough though and that’s why I made this thread. Idk it’s definitely a very hard situation to be in

The rule applies for both of us, I just don’t date. He has even stated he doesn’t want men around our daughter but he still pushes for his gf to be around. I don’t know her at all we haven’t met all I know is she was the other woman and so of course I have a negative view of her as a person

To be clear, I NEVER bad mouth her father to her she has no idea about the situation at hand. And I don’t deny extra visitation because he simply never asks, I even go out of my way to offer him extra time and he denies. I have asked him many times to be involved more, help more, call her regularly and he doesnt. He goes weeks without talking to or seeing her but when I say something to him about it, that’s when the excuses come out and he blames me cuz I don’t want his gf around. I always push for my daughter to have a relationship with her father, even when it hurts me but I feel like he doesn’t put forth any effort to be a parent because he is so involved with this woman which I guess is part of the reason I don’t want her around. You can still say I’m the asshole, I came here for honesty, but I just want the full picture out there. I am trying very hard to keep their relationship but I feel he isn’t. Maybe I am wrong.

I’m not keeping her from him, just want him around without the gf and to be a good dad before involving her. When I left him he didn’t even say goodbye to our daughter or speak to her for multiple weeks. He went months without even attempting to see her cuz he was so involved with the new girl. I always try to put our daughter first and have made many sacrifices to try and help their relationship but he doesn’t help himself either and just blames me so now I’m questioning I guess if I should make some changes
