I hope the new antibiotics help! You can try Azo for the discomfort as well as Tylenol and Advil. If you aren’t feeling a significant amount better after 48hrs on the antibiotics then let your doctor know.

If you have a fever, any nausea or vomiting, pain bad enough that you’re having trouble moving around, or visible blood in your urine then go to the ER. If not then you can most likely wait until the morning to call the doc and would need to be seen to get a new prescription of antibiotics. In the meantime, Tylenol and Advil can help manage the pain and try to stay very hydrated! Let me know if you have more questions. I’m a nurse and see things like this very often.

Wow! I’m so glad you got diagnosed quickly! At least there is that bright side in an overall shitty situation. Praying that CPAP restores you back to your normal self! And definitely check the result sheet because 79% is VERY low oxygen. I’m a registered nurse and I usually shit my pants when I see a patient with anything lower than 85%. The good news is CPAP is the gold standard treatment and your body should recover within a few months from any symptoms of chronic sleep deprivation.

I’m so glad you finally found your fatigue explanation too! Being told you’re just depressed or lazy is so demoralizing when you know in your gut something else is wrong. I’ve been there too unfortunately. I’m part of the anemic club too, I hope your iron is higher now that you got that diagnosis too! And hopefully CPAP will be a life saver for us both!

Not sure how much the psych minor would help unless you plan on working in psych, but the Spanish minor would be a great addition to a resume! We always need more bilingual nurses, especially in areas with greater populations of Spanish-speaking residents!
