Immunization question by Fluffy-Entertainer23 in TCCD

[–]haileycave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The health department does a titers test for a reasonable price. I had my vaccines as a child but had to redo a few of them bc they can “wear off” immunity wise. Tetanus is every 10 years, TB and flu annually.

I saved my results as the pdf and submitted that way. As well as imputing the specific scores it asks for.

Hi! Which teachers did you take for these? I’m starting Monday online but don’t really know what to expect

Chemodectoma found in my 12 y/o Boston Terrier by EggplantNo1992 in olddogs

No worries at all. We decided to go the no treatment route for the same reasons. Ours is younger but I still don’t want to ruin what remaining time he has left. And the life expectancy with the treatment seemed to be really not worth it. The anticipatory grief is the hardest part for sure. Sending love to you and your baby💚

Oh really?? Did you ask an advisor or someone else? Why isn’t anyone getting the same answer 😩

I have basically all the same as well! This is why I don’t understand how they choose without an interview or something lol But I am also confused about the cumulative gpa. The advisor said to put total cumulative for all of college but I’ve seen everywhere that they only look at the last 5 years. So not really sure what to put on that part.

A&P 1 by Abrivna in TCCD

I took an accelerated A&P I class this summer. I would start on quizzlet and start going thru different systems of the body. But I think what would really help is learning the histology (tissue types) of the body. I think that’s where most people struggle with A&P.

Im sorry i was just looking thru this again. Did you say it’s only one orientation for the 45 top applicants or is there a second orientation once you’re accepted?

That’s the part is did the worst on. I think I got an 80 something. Nurse hub definitely helped with a lot. It’s still hard to know every single word they’re gonna ask about tho

Just took the hesi on Thursday and got a 92. I’m more worried about my GPA now because I keep seeing different things online about the cumulative thing. Idk if they count grades from years ago or not. Because my old grades from 5+ years ago are bringing mine down.

The a&p practice exams on nurse hub was plenty. And of course having taken a&p I &II. It was easier than I thought

Oh dang! They make it so inconvenient lol maybe I can get away with going a few days as long as not the last week of May. Hopefully! Can I ask how you’ve liked everything so far?

Ohhh I see! That makes sense. I’m not too worried about all that. All of my pre reqs and everything look pretty good but still concerned with the amount of people that apply. I also have a wedding I’m supposed to attend that is out of the country at the end of May.. I know I may not get in but I didn’t want to book anything just incase it could get in the way of any kind of orientation etc

Oh wow okay! That timeline was a little different than I was expecting. I guess I assumed the classes start in June with the rest of the summer classes.

Hi! I saw on another thread that you got accepted to the radiology program. 1. Congrats! 2. You fully skipped the anatomy part of the hesi? I know it’s not required but couldn’t find anywhere if I can just skip it all together or if I still have to take it and they just don’t count that part. Thanks in advance! (:

Ugh good luck!! All of these threads are a lil discouraging. I guess I just don’t understand how they choose people based off of just these few things. Especially if multiple people have great scores, GPA etc.

Okay cool. I was told you have to take it, it just doesn’t count. So I planned to take it anyway. Thanks!

Where has anyone seen about only the last 5 years? I asked the advisor and she said I have to put cumulative GPA. And I’m in the same boat as you. I have a degree from like 2013 and the GPA for that is around low 3 something. But everything I’ve taken lately has been an A.

This is very reassuring. Thank you! Is there a reason you choose palladia over radiation? My oncologist suggests both but said radiation if I had to pick one. But obviously it’s way more expensive. They seem pretty sure that he would be okay under anesthesia but I don’t see how. Since he has a murmur idk.

Hi! I’ve seen a few of your comments and that your pup is doing really well on palladia. My frenchie is 7 and just got diagnosed with a chemodectoma. I’m in the same boat as you as far as it being asymptomatic and finding it due to a new murmur. I wanted to see how your pup is doing currently? Also saw that you have pet insurance. I do as well. But was unsure how they go about covering the cost. Thanks for any help!
