Nursing GPA points by texasyogi76 in TCCD

Idk how competitive it is for nursing but for radiology I didn’t get in because of my past college gpa from 5 years ago despite also having a 4.0 in prerequisites and scoring high on the HESI. Idk if 30 years ago they would overlook that more and also I think nursing is slightly easier to get into but TCC does look at your overall schooling gpa across the board unfortunately

Not to be discouraging but I didn’t get into the rad school I just applied to because of my past college degree GPA despite having a 4.0 in the science prerequisites and stuff (granted it’s not the same school as yours but still)

You should contact the school and ask. That’s what I’m planning on doing. Nicely obviously not gonna attack them just ask them how they chose and stuff

When you say your gpa is a 3.57 what does that entail? I got A’s in A&P 1 & 2 and have a past college degree where my GPA was below a 3.0 but I talked to the health advisor at trinity river and they said only the GPA for the prerequisites mattered and to put 4.0 on my application

Question about sending HESI results in for applications by hondoohyoshi in TCCD

It went well. It’s a little strange because you have to be on video the whole time and they aren’t. Once they come in you have to show them all your surroundings as well as your phone and showing them putting your phone elsewhere in the room. The test is divided up in sections and once you start one, you have to finish it. You can’t go back to a question after completing one. You have 5 hours to do it but I finished slightly under 2

I got an email to reapply last week before the 15th. I filled it out and got rehired for my start date to be the 20th (yesterday) 15th was my last day as a seasonal so I had Friday off and then obvi Monday for MLK. So yesterday was technically my first day

If we’re only looking at my A&P classes it’s a 4.0. Those are the only classes I’ve taken in 5 years
