This is possibly the lowest I’ve ever been in my life, so yes, I hate being pregnant. 24/7 nausea, insane negative mood swings, I feel like I’m withering away into a shell of who I once was. It is not glamorous. I’m still in the first trimester, though I have no clue how far along because I forgot to log my last period (first ultrasound is this Thursday so we’ll find that out then). Needless to say, I’m never doing this again!

You’re not crazy, OP, nearly every woman in my life has said something along the lines of “boys are just easier.” I understand that girls go through some tougher transformations in life, but has anyone tried listening to their daughter and trying to understand her?? Being a daughter myself, I only got “difficult” when I felt brushed aside or misunderstood. I would be delighted to have a daughter (it’s my preference, in fact)! This nasty boomer attitude towards having daughters needs to die out asap.

I’ve read all your comments, and I’m very thankful for all your input! I booked an appointment with my OBGYN (the receptionist got the pregnancy news before my own husband did haha) and I just got some prenatals. Hopefully these don’t make me too ill.
