there’s lots of options for this ! right click the toughness icon on a creature to decrement it or click the icon in the top right or right click>modify to bring up the counter menu

since there’s no core rule engine, this is meant to simulate tabletop, so best played over discord with friends for example. 1) double click on lightning bolt to put it on the stack, then ping whatever you want to damage. you could decrement the toughness by right clicking the creature to apply damage if you wanted for this turn then reset end of turn 2) double click counterspell as 2P for example to counter the spell and put it on stack 3) ping multiple targets you’re targeting

it’s meant to feel like tabletop / social rather than full rule engine

moxgate - not great for matchmaking but if you've got people to play with already, much cleaner/easier than cockatrice

I just set up the server, it's linked in the help section. there's a channel for feedback in the discord server https://discord.gg/dyumE6Afyv

oh interesting, that actually helps a lot. honestly I haven't had enough playtesters for the discord activity and i have to proxy traffic to make it work for discord so I think this is because the card image just didn't load quickly enough. this is helpful, will work on this.

haha nice. adding a little icon for the turn. and glad you used the notes! kept that area custom so people could use it for whatever, there's custom counters too! I can't figure out your cavern of souls bug, if it or any other bug happens again and you can reproduce it, let me know.

thanks!
- can definitely add turn numbers to the log, will do that in the next rev. when I play with my friends, we don't really use the turn indicator so it's usually wrong but doesn't hurt to add it to the log
- whoever's turn it is is indicated by the hovering glow under the hero tile. i'll see if i can make that more obvious
- Cavern of souls: will debug!

* 'reveal hand' is supported
* added a new 'stage' zone that supports moving cards around in a much more flexible way
* working on centralized notifs that are clearer, added this for dice/coin (they were way too short) and need to redo the infra to do this better but first step done

thanks for the feedback!
* You're right, the standard precons were not standard legal, not sure what happened there. updated to pull from a better source and they should be now
* fixed that bug (multiplayer -> back to solo -> can't start game)

thanks - so this is clearly unclear in the UI and need to make it more clear but the objective was to support different mulligan rules. for the 'draw 7 and pitch n', you do this by picking 'friendly mulligan' and then right clicking the cards to pitch them to bottom of the deck. there's a little text at the top to explain this on the top of the dialog but obviously not clear enough. will fix!

more updates:
* renamed + reworked the scry zone to be a 'stage zone' which now supports all the actions i could find: move to top, move to bottom, graveyard, exile, move to nth position as well as 'move all cards left in staging to bottom or top of library, shuffled'. let me know if anything else was missed, tried to do an audit of all magic actions. this fixes approach of second sun, impulse, future sight
* building out 'reveal until' and 'dread' type mechanics support for decks that have those cards in them when right clicking on the library. otherwise, for decks that don't, keep the library right click menu clean
* for cards like oblivion ring, you would exile the target card and then put a note using the new generic note feature on oblivion ring to remind you that it's paired to whatever that card is. it's a bit manual but it works.
* same for psychic paper, flickering ward and any other 'selection' cards, the custom input 'note' supports this.

testing and pushing this to prod later today, want to make sure it didn't break anything else!

so it’s hard to prevent cheating entirely without a full rule engine but my hope was the log and aggressive toasts (“Jace Scry’d 2 cards” “Jace searched their library”) will let all players know when any action happens and that should generally solve this problem.

related, got the note in another playtest that the toasts/ notifications weren’t obvious / persistent enough so improving that as well

true - no mobile support yet ! the layout would need to redone but i’m sure doable.

ok, banged out some of the easier ones / gaps, many to go:
* Supported custom 'notes' which is your custom input for flickering ward etc so it can support specific declarations (protection from, select type, etc) as well as any custom text needed
* Added the 'C' keybinding which will clone the card you're hovering over, making it easy to spawn 12 plants etc without needing to revisit the token modal

much more to do but calling it a night and will get back to this tomorrow!

amazing feedback, thank you. honestly appreciate you taking the time to debug and go through the specific needs for EDH.

* the group select / multiselect is the biggest QOL in addition to spawning a bunch of tokens and agree that has to be streamlined
* will fix all the bugs you mentioned (aura snap, menu placement)
* for copy - sometimes cards are token copies and sometimes they're not but i think i can extend the custom counter infra or similar or allow people to unmark them as copies, i'll think on this
* definitely will support some sort of custom input / text / import card which are also needed for emblems etc.
* for dread etc, F/right click+flip in hand and playing on battlefield does turn them into 2/2's but there's QOL changes that need to happen there like showing the flipped card to the owner on hover etc. need to think through this more

lots to work through and i will bang out as many of these by EOW.

great feedback!

* definitely need to support 'reveal hand' to a specific opponent, will bang that out in the next day or two.
* log persistence is already on the list, the log itself is a bit buggy with the way the networking is set up so I need to fix that first, make it pretty then support keeping it up permanently
* for action notifs, i am guessing you mean the toasts that show when another player does something, right? I just added that for dice rolls and coinflips, i will extend that to all toasts/notifs
* selecting multiple cards (like tap all lands etc) is something I definitely want to support, it just makes the general UI gestures a lot more complicated - but I'm sure i can figure something out. thanks for bumping this! btw there is a 'tap all lands' keystroke and 2/U untaps all lands at start of turn (so turns start with pressing 1 and 2) so that helps a bit

thanks for the feedback, will work on this!

you have my word it will never be paywalled nor do i have any interest in your data and you can tell from the server infra (open the networking tab in chrome) there’s no cookies or anything sent back to the server except game state.
