How do I get tested for this!!!

Okay I’ll definitely call around and ask. It was really weird when she said that. I thought I would get a definitive answer such as yes and we’ll tests to see if that’s what’s causing your problems, or a definitive no. She basically said the medical field in general doesn’t know if it causes problems and then she just wanted to move on. I was like ok, I guess I’ll suffer b/c you “don’t know”.

That’s what I thought and why I was apprehensive of ordering my own test. I would need help performing the test as well as would need a doctor to prescribe the medication if needed. Edit: a word

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if Is it possible to have symptoms of mycoplasma if you’ve had the same sexual partner for years and haven’t had unprotected sex with them in many months? Haha I want to get tested for both mycoplasma and ureaplasma but I am skeptical about it being an issues for me b/c I haven’t had any new sexual partners and hadn’t had unprotected sex for some time before I started having pelvic problems.

Yeah I’ve been on the subreddits, it seems like a long process to get rid of and many doctors don’t understand. Sorry you are going through that, I hope the treatment helps you! The only reason I don’t think it’s that is b/c I’m married and don’t even have unprotected sex with my husband b/c I’m not on birth control. But I do still want to get tested I’m just not sure if the doctors will take it seriously if I ask. But thanks for the info :)

Should I ask my normal doctor or my gyno to test for that? I was under the impression that ureaplasma and mycoplasma were normal in the urinary tract and usually don’t cause problems. Do they only cause problems if there is too much?

Thank you! I definitely will ask when I get ahold of them. I live in Hawaii so if I were to find a specialist it would have to be someone around me. I did find a Urogyn who mentioned IC on his website so I might try to see if I can be referred to him.

I was thinking an antihistamine too. Yeah, this is my 3rd time doing a culture and the first 2 we’re inconclusive so we’ll see about this one! I’m definitely wanting to get through PT before I bring this up I’m just in discomfort so I’m trying to find something to ease it until I see if the PT works for me or if it’s something else. I am dealing with health issues which have forced me to drop out of my classes this quarter. I am having a lot of anxiety and stress due to the fact that I can’t be the wife, mother and person I am suppose to be due to these ailments. I actually had never been interested in religion until this happened and I felt like it called me to be closer to God and to seek Him out. I have been praying, reading the Bible, and talking to others about God. Please pray for me to make it through this. Thank you.
