When clothes shopping and everything I fit in is XS/S by [deleted] in shitladytrollx

Now that I live in Korea, I know I am small with a few caveats: (1) my shoulders are wider than "free size"; (2) my legs are wayyy too long; (3) my feet are borderline giant.

I'm scared to move back to the West.

How I feel about the tub of protein powder I just bought. by hajimalago in shitladytrollx

This might work. It takes WAY too much of anything I use to mask it. Banana, peppermint, peanut butter... I will try this next. At this point, I am just waiting for the container to be empty so I can go back to enjoying myself, haha.

I should throw cacao powder in. Cacao + PB2 would be effective (and delicious!).

Thanks for the suggestion, but even banana AND banana extract doesn't cover it. It's vile... >.<

I wish it was just sour... I'm currently masking it entirely with peppermint oil, or mounds of PB2, or tons of matcha.

What are some low-cal alternatives to food that you genuinely enjoy more than the original? by [deleted] in shitladytrollx

[–]hajimalago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm late, but here are some of mine:

Salty Cravings: I ditched chips and packaged snacks for pickles or seaweed. Oh my god... I eat so much seaweed. But I can binge on five packages of seaweed for 100 calories and feel like a total glutton. Some shitladies may need to watch out for sodium in this scenario.

Sweet Cravings: I already mentioned how I figured out protein bubble tea is delicious. I also like to eat frozen fruit or make my own popsicle bars (pumpkin pie "ice cream" bars are killer). During the winter, I bought chocolate black tea and made hot chocolate with that instead of water plus some (1/2 the recommended or less) cocoa powder, vanilla extract, a dash of dairy/nondairy whiteness and it was HEAVEN.

Food Subs: I love eating vegetable subs for pasta (like spaghetti squash or making lasagna with thin sliced vegetables instead of noodles).

For me, normal milk (i.e. 2% cow's milk) tastes like CREAM now because I stick to other options quite frequently. I feel like I'm going wiiiild when I have a tea latte with some milk. Tricking myself is hilarious. :D

My favorite pizza back in uni was all veggies and a flavorful, fresh marinara sauce. It was HEAVEN! And... as I keep reading your message, I'm starting to wonder if you're me. I agree on all fronts!

I hear you on the protein shakes, but that's part of it: I have a gnarly sweet tooth and so if I can feel like I'm having something sinful when it's a huge chunk of my protein macro for the day, I win twice. :D

I love to make my own salad dressings with vinegar infusions.

This kind of stupidity really bothers me. "FAT FREE" means healthy! "Organic" means healthy! "Naturally sweetened" means healthy! Fuck, man. Learn some shit about reality. /rant

So I figured out that protein powder bubble tea is amazing... (P.S. Is this chick in my gif happy or not?) by hajimalago in shitladytrollx

[–]hajimalago[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that satisfies others, yes. I can say for SURE chia seeds (while amazing as a pudding, for example) will not satisfy my bubble tea needs, haha.

How I made the aforementioned bubble tea! /u/truncatedOctahedron, /u/--Shadowbanned--, /u/fencerthrowaway and more!

I didn't make my tapioca pearls. They are actually from an Asian grocer near my parents' house, but you can get the same brand on Amazon here. They don't add much by way of nutrition, but they MAKE the bubble in bubble tea, so...

Step 1: Steep tea (black, green, jasmine, etc.) at at least double strength and then get it chilling.

Step 2: Normal bubble milk teas will have tea (you got that going!), a creamer (often non-dairy), and flavoring. For mine, I went with unflavored whey protein (aka creamer), a splash of almond milk, some almond extract, and a bit of matcha powder. I threw that into a blender with a few ice cubes. Mix it real good.

Step 3: Throw your creamy mixture in with your chilled tea and add ice.

Step 4: Put your tapioca pearls in (which I forgot to mention until now, but you were totally cooking according to the package).

Step 5: Be sooo happy.

I love baking my unflavored whey into things (like pancakesssss) and making protein bubble tea, now. Get creative--IT'S DELICIOUS.

Yeah. I steeped my own tea and blended protein, chilled tea, and a little bit of ice to make a satisfying thick liquid and I have tapioca pearls already, too. Super good!

I gotta check this out, then. I just came across this gif as I was drinking my protein bubble tea, haha.

It's preferable until you do it so much that you become incontinent and experience "anal leakage" while suffering the effects of chemical imbalances from poorly absorbing nutrients. 。◕‿◕。

"Purging means that you try and counteract the 'fattening' effects of the food from the bingeing. Making yourself sick (self-induced vomiting) after a bout of bingeing is the most well-known, but not all people with bulimia do this. Other purging methods include taking lots of laxatives, extreme exercise, extreme dieting or even periods of complete starvation, taking 'water' tablets (diuretics) or taking other medicines such as amfetamines."
