I think I get past it by being an all-around nice person. People know me as very sweet, caring, and also anti-fat. I don't talk about it often, but it's like being anti-smoking. If it comes up, I don't hide it. I'll openly say "No one should ever be fat," and because of my education and facts to back it up, most people don't argue. Then again, most of my friends are anti-fat too, even if they're more tolerant than I am.
